Has anyone won with quick picks? I am thinking of doing quick picks instead of guessing numbers but I do not know if quick picks has more odds of winning?

Tip: Tell them you want Any order if not using a ticket to make your selection better odds of winning.

This used to be on the MM FAQ page;

70% of jackpots go to Quick Picks and Quick Picks are 70% of ticket sales..........notice anything?

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Yea.., "I noticed" that, there's the remaining 30% of Jackots that are by deduction, won by players that put a little thought into their process of picking their own numbers ...

That percentage is smaller of course , because the majority of people, want the Jackpots, but don't want to put any thought process into winning it, other than just "thinking".. I wanna play the Lottery, cause the Jackpot is $XXX,000,000.... gimme a QP.

Which BTW is the same as guessing off the top of your head, except only accepting what a computer (Lottery's Mainframe) gives you, based on its RNG programming..!! which is NEVER programmed in YOUR best interest, only their's... profit motivated..!

Those mind boggling odds associated with MM & PB or most Lottery games are imposed upon you when THAT process is your casual method of playing..!

If memory serves, (and it may not, I'm 66) the fellow that wrote the answers to the questions on PB's page was Chuck Strutt. He was an exec at MUSL, and actually had a Q&A here on LP a few years ago.

He ended up leaving MUSL after the Hot Lotto fiasco.

Todd would probably have more detailed info.

Yep, like with pick-3 games the lottery keep around 50% of sale. It means some players are winning half the sales. I always thought the PB response was tongue-in-cheek way of saying if 70% of the sales are QPs, 70% of the winning tickets should be QPs. The last three MM sales were higher than on any drawing in 2020, but while Friday's sales were almost $117 million, less than 20% of the possible were sold.

Sort of hard not to play now that both cash values are better than the odds.

You seem to forget that regardless of the means of picking numbers whether you do i9t or let a quick pick do it when your numbers and the numbers drawn are the same it is just plain and simple LUCK.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I really have to congratulate you on that post. Few people are capable of packing so much stupid into so few words.

Of course I'm not surprised that you didn't notice that the ratio of QP wins to self pick wins clearly shows that neither one offers an advantage. Hopefully if you keep stalking stats you'll eventually fine one that you understand.

Are you familiar with the saying "Man plans, God laughs." ?

Seeing as how you are a scientist and mathematician, why don't you conduct a little experiment tonight when you buy your tickets for Jumbo Bucks. Before you buy your set of mathematically derived combinations, buy an equal number of quick picks. (Best to buy the quick picks before your math picks so that the mainframe's QP RNG is not influenced by your numbers.) Tomorrow, show us how your picks fared in comparison to the lottery's QPs.
