PS: Isn't it a bit dangerous for you to reveal your lottery affiliation here on the forum? I don't imagine there are very many newly hired Ohio Lottery employees who relocated from Ontario. The probability is the same for every pick3 number: 1/1000, or 0.001 if you prefer, or equivalently 0.1%. AKA, odds of 1 in 1000. This is not rocket science.

They will only allow so many 3 digit combinations to be played to prevent huge payouts should that number be drawn.

Saw where Vermont averages less than 35,000 tickets sales for PB and multiple tickets matching five numbers with a large multiplier could create a huge problem... [ More ]

Filling payslips manually restricts us from playing too many numbers.. One advantage this has is that,, it makes us think atleast once on some day , why are you pouring so much money down the drain.

If we try to print playslips to play more, it doesn't make sense unless We play in a pool or syndicate.

I think it's due to

People tend to play that number because of the significance of day(sad event) Lottery has a cap on maximum times a number can be bought. Possibly to avoid loss and closure. Lottery organizations are not in for charity - they want big money.

During Pre test, change of machines or ball sets on a particular day gets called out if the picked numbers repeat certain number of times and some more criteria - depending on state lottery rules(I read this in some past LP thread/post).

For those of you who live outside the Greater New York/ New Jersey area you're probably not aware of a phenomenon that occurs every September 11th (in our little corner of the USA) and that is the locking out of the number 911 @ some determined point by the LO's. I hear that if you have the slips analyzed you'll find out that they contain bamboo.

Also, once you handle one you become magnetized, and keys will stick to you. Even though the vast majority of keys are made of brass.

Been almost 11 years since Chip explained where the money goes in Kentucky and over 10 years since his last post. That doesn't prove someone in several state or provincial lotteries isn't watching every day, but if they are what exactly are they looking for?

Garyo, even though the all series number 1,2,3,4,5 - 6 is rare, it's also part of the combos set.Atleast one off the world lotteries will/might pull this white ball series and red ball series of last white ball.

Except few known riggings that were identified and caught, there are no other generalized common rigging done in all world lotteries(more of conspiracy until proven). Draw machine drawn or computer drawn - both have been rigged in the past.

The odds are helping lottery organizations beat us.

nooo, the slips don't really have tracking devices in them..!! He was just being facetious..

But, all lottery tickets, once you PURCHASE one ?, DOES have tracking apparatus on them,.. in the form of the BARCODES printed at the bottom of your tickets.., but not to the point where the codes tell LOs where you go after buying your ticket, only where, when the ticket was bought, and whether or not the ticket iz GENUINE..

Apparently you forgot about the other 999 right numbers but, if the lottery knows what you were doing, they know what the players that played the other 999 numbers are doing too. The good news is one of those other players had the real right numbers and probably collected their winnings.

I knew I had the right numbers for pick 3 and had to wait 4 hours waiting from the draw hour time then after the pick 3 numbers were shown they were different. And again when I was off by 1 digit I made a big laugh saying ahha. At that point the website said draw being decided. It was already showing the pick 3 numbers. So how they know what I was doing? I never bought any ticket when I said ahha. Can someone please explain
