scaring the Lottery Clerk

The last time I looked at most convenient, grocery, or any other store that sell lottery tickets, it's not the primary function of store clerks. I'm pretty sure they would ask for ID after you claim you're a undercover lottery official . If you're really into scaring store clerks , why not say you're an undercover ATF agent and heard they sold beer or smokes to minors?

Did you read any of the posts? You just do not seem to process basic info correctly. That is not your role or authority to scare a lottery clerk. You have no authority there and it would still be a crime.

I can only speak for the state I live in, but I would think most if not all states have the same or similar setup for players wanting to check their tickets. Stores here that sell lottery tickets have scanners that customers can use to check their tickets, and clerks that sell tickets have scanners attached to the lottery terminals that produce tickets that are sold. I know you're itching to go on the other forums and complain about getting piled on over a simple hypothetical question here. But I guarantee if you had asked this question on the other gambling forums you would have received the same responses. All warring factions united in talking you out of a really bad idea.

I once had a next door neighbor, Freddie, who happened to be a detective in the police department in the town I lived in. Recording someone without their permission is illegal in many states, including Florida. The evidence would be excluded. It is also subject to civil and criminal penalties. Tasha is not a member of law enforcement to allow an exception.

I think someone impersonating a lottery official would make way more news than a clerk stealing a ticket. She would also be banned from playing the lottery in the state besides sharing a cell with Big Bubbette.

First, always make sure to sign your tickets, because it's worthless to a scammer if it is already inked with your name.

A more reasonable and effective response to your hypothetical situation would be scanning the ticket yourself with the app and showing the clerk that your ticket is indeed a winner. And if for some bizarre reason they still insist that it's not a winner (extremely unlikely), take your ticket back and tell the employee you are going to file a complaint with the lottery....
