The typical way of playing jackpot lotteries is expressed in 2 steps:

1. Select a desired number of numbers

2. Distribute numbers into lines (otherwise called wheeling).

Then comes the issue of hits (how many numbers you match in your selections).

Big hits, that is. No big hits, no big winners, and, quite frequently, no winners at all.

So you need to get as many big hits as possible from your selections.

Understand what you're saying and agree. Good advice.

The rating system here is a system rating the combinations by various means to determine good combinations (or better combination). Or say, those more likely to hit. It's akin to finding the the median range where most combinations hit, that 70% or whatever percentage you choose.

Like the lack of science there is nothing to say what stats to use or how to use them.

Basically, you're on your own.... [ More ]

someone posted about a site that used a rating system

I use rating for selecting systems for playing. It's based on system performance in short term (10 5 latest draws).

I always play groups of numbers larger than 1 ticket (currently 24). Each group, no matter what it's size, has an average (expected) hit rate. For a system to be selected for playing it must have hit above average in the last 10 5 draws. Among 32 systems that I monitor only about 8 - 10 will qualify at any given time.... [ More ]
