Obama has missed 40% of the daily intelligence briefings

In the wake of all the pearl clutching about Trump blowing off the briefings, Obama apparently went on some late night TV show, stressing the importance of these sessions and condemning the president elect for his comments.  He apparently chose not to inform his listeners that he himself had skipped almost half of the briefings staged for his benefit during his two terms in office.

I heard this over a scratchy terrestrial radio station while driving in the car this morning.   So I did a search and yep, its true.

Former British ambassador Craig Murray confirms DNC and Podesta leaks were the work of a Washington insider; and says he knows identity and has met with this person. FBI meanwhile casts doubt on CIA claim DNC and Podesta leaks were the work of Russia.

Craig Murray, Britain's former ambassador to Russia and a close friend of Julian Assange, has now confirmed that he knows the identity of the person who leaked the DNC and Podesta leaks to Wikileaks, and that this person is not Russian and has no connection to the Russian government.

On the contrary, he is a Washington insider. Craig Murray has moreover told the Guardian that he has actually met with this person. Anyone wanting to know more of what Craig Murray is saying should read his statement on his blog.  Indeed it should be mandatory reading for anyone interested in the truth of this affair.

US Steel CEO Mario Longhi says he wants to bring back 10,000 jobs now that Donald Trump won the presidency.

CNBC reported:

United States Steel would like to accelerate its investments and hire back laid-off employees now that Donald Trump will be occupying the Oval Office, CEO Mario Longhi told CNBC on Wednesday.

"We already structured to do some things, but when you see in the near future improvement to the tax laws, improvements to regulation, those two things by themselves may be a significant driver to what we're going to do," he said in an interview with CNBC's "Power Lunch."

In addition, the belief that the U.S. economy can grow at least 3.5 percent also adds to what the company can do, Longhi noted.

"I'd be more than happy to bring back the employees we've been forced to lay off during that depressive period," he said, which could be close to 10,000 jobs.

He explains Trump won the White House because of the "primal scream by people who have been ignored and despised" by the cultural, media and political elites. It was "a revolt of the middle class and people voting with their middle finger," he says. "People think the game is rigged by the elites and in a democracy that is not sustainable."

As for the excuses offered up by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Democrats for why they lost, Carlson says "the left has gotten dumb and shallow and unable to see clearly. Identity politics has made them dumb."

ELIZABETH WARREN: Republicans are taking over Congress, they are taking over the White House, but Republicans do not have majority support in this country. The majority of voters supported Democratic Senate candidates over Republican ones, and the majority supported a Democratic presidential candidate over a Republican one. The American people didn't give Democrats majority support so we can come back to Washington and play dead. They didn't send us here to whimper, whine, or grovel.

MIKA: Yeah, well, you know what? There's a huge part of the country that doesn't think so and she might want to be a little inclusive because she is sounding like the people she is accusing of as being exclusive. I mean she's just got to stop. I'm sorry. It's getting exhausting. And this did not help during the campaign. It wasn't. There's an anger there that was shrill and a step above what it needed to be, unmeasured, and almost unhinged! It's not going to work. At some point we have to look at what happened and look at the people we lost along the way.
