'Question 46,' Revisited

They say if you heat the water slowly enough...

Also, if you have a large enough "crisis" you can get the majority to agree to just about any 'fix'.

Constitutional Convention?

This could turn out real bad, it would also explain the troop buildup on U.S. soil. Problem-Reaction-Solution.

They have cleverly used the so-called financial crisis (problem) to goad the state legislatures into demanding (reaction) Congress and the President follow fiscally responsible rules (as ifRoll Eyes). They are calling for changes to the Constitution to require this, but once the process is opened up, anything is up for grabs. They just pulled a stunt like this in Canada. The PM ticked off the opposition, by cutting their funding. They reacted by calling for a no-confidence vote. The PM dodged the vote by suspending parliament. Guess who that leaves with absolute power until at least Jan. 26, 2009. Can you think of anything else happening around that week?

Here are some of the possible results of a “run away” article 5 convention as described of by U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger:

1. Total civilian disarmament.
2. Socialization of industry.
3. Confiscation of private property.
4. Torture of citizens.
5. Suppression of the Press and of Religion

In effect, they could toss out the whole thing - pesky Bill of Rights and all.

Here's what's going on in Ohio ---

German police get powers to hack into home computers

Oh, this would never be abused by anyone in a position of power or anything.Mad

Nor one would ever be framed, nor would the so-called bad guys get a copy of the software.Roll Eyes

German police will get sweeping new powers to hack into people's home computers with 'Trojan' viruses sent through the internet.

David Wroe in Berlin
Last Updated: 7:17PM GMT 03 Dec 2008

Under a compromise between the hardline Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble and dissenting MPs, Germany's Parliament is put unprecedented power in the hands of the Federal Criminal Police (BKA).

New laws, some of the toughest in Europe, will also allow police to bug and photograph suspect's homes, tap their phones and track the location of their mobile calls.

Under the compromise, the police will need a judge's approval before using the Trojans, even in an emergency.

Trojans will carry "Remote Forensic Software" that can search hard drives and send evidence back to investigators without their having to enter the suspect's home.

Rolf Tophoven from the Institute for Terrorism Research and Security Policy said the computer penetration powers would have helped police last year when they arrested three men on terrorism charges.

The men encrypted their files which means police still have only one third of the data from their hard drives, Mr Tophoven estimated.

"We need this," he said. "The masterminds among the terrorist groups of today are highly qualified, very sophisticated people. The police need as much power as we can give them so that they can remain at the technological level of the terrorists. After all, the terrorists already have a huge advantage: they have the first shot."

The Greens, pro-business Free Democrats and socialist Left party members oppose the laws, fearing they endanger civil liberties.

Gun grabbers. The most "dangerous criminals", are those who can defend themselves against would-be tyrants. Note the fraudulent CNN 'report'.

"Uncoded" ammo destroyed by 2011

http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/6583

The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacturer in a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.
