I signed up for Match.com a few years back, a six month subscription. It matched me up with an insane ex-girlfriend and my cousin. One match who contacted was with a woman in a nearby small town and even though I had posted my political views on my profile and that it was important to find a woman who thought at least close to the same way, she was exactly the opposite. Not sure why she even bothered to reply, what she expected.

I met someone I really liked in a TalkCity chat room nearly 20 yrs. ago; she was in England, but came over several times to see me. We got to know each other very well via IM and emails and phone calls and we felt very comfortable with each other from the start. The distance was just too much to overcome, though.

I have an online friend from N. Carolina who lost his wife and after a year, joined a Christian chat and "met" a woman from Cyprus who had also lost her spouse around the same time. She moved over here, they got married and lived here until he retired (she worked for Walmart, a culture shock for her!), then they moved to Cyprus and are enjoying married life and living there.

Just keep being who you are, & another who shares your vibe will pick up the harmony; besides everyone else is taken :-)

Hello, mikeintexas, it is difficult to wonder who the right people are these day's! I will try different site's, plus continue to go place's, and maybe thing's will get better.
