Florida Lottery: Florida Lottery holiday raffle game sold out
10 players will win $1 million each on New Year's Day At 10:33 pm Thursday night the last of the 1.25 million Holiday Millionaire Raffle tickets was sold. Players who purchased tickets will need to hold on to them for the New Year's Day drawing to see who will become the Florida Lottery's first 10 millionaires in 2007. The winning numbers will be posted to the Florida Lottery Web site by 3:00 pm, January 1, 2007. The numbers will also be posted at Lottery Post. Holiday Millionaire Raffle tickets went on sale November 20 and would have been on sale through December 30 if tickets had lasted. The 1.25 million tickets, priced at $20 each, sold in 12 days. With the best odds of winning $1 million, 1:125,000, Holiday Millionaire Raffle will provide a total of 130 cash prizes worth $13 million: - 10 prizes of $1 million
- 20 prizes of $100,000
- 100 prizes of $10,000
The odds of winning $100,000 are 1:62,500; the odds of winning $10,000 are 1:12,500 and the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 9,615. Winning Holiday Millionaire Raffle tickets must be claimed at a Florida Lottery office beginning Wednesday, January 3, 2007. Winning $1 million prizes must be claimed at Lottery Headquarters. Information about procedures for filing a claim can be obtained by calling (850) 487-7777 (TDD (850) 487-7784). Prizes must be claimed within 180 days from the date of the drawing (by June 30, 2007). "This is going to be the best New Year's any lottery player could have," said Vicki Munroe, Florida Lottery On-line Product Development Manager. "We are very pleased with the reception our players have given our new game, Holiday Millionaire Raffle." The lucky numbers will also be displayed at the almost 13,000 retail locations throughout Florida and disclosed in Florida Lottery ads scheduled to run in newspapers on the Friday, January 5, 2007.

Same from me...good luck DoubleDown. I hope you win. I procrastinated too long. As I wrote in another post, I finally gave in and tried to buy a couple of tickets, but I was too late. Funny, right now I'm on dialup and I just realized I used it for 8 years before I switched to DSL. I was on LP for several months using a 52K modem. It's really not too bad, but I need high-speed for work because I download hundreds of documents. I hope the new modem I'm getting will resolve the problem. Anyway, I was able to get a dialup connection for a temporary fix, thank goodness. Of course I just had to sign on to LP!! Anyway, what does this have to do with the lottery? I have no idea. Just trying to calm down.  me earlier tonight

But I am playing GA, FL, and SC anyway.. ( SC tix are only $10 each ). Amen bro on the Gaytors. I am a GA DAWG !!!! Heck, South Carolina had the gaytors beat . They were lucky to block the game winning FG against SC , otherwise Michigan would have their rematch.... Michigan was penalized for not playing a game since 11/18...

The Buckeyes definitely deserve the title. Just one game to go! And Michigan did get railed on not being able to play a conference title game. Florida has been skating by all season...and should have been beat by SC. That was gift-wrapped for them. Although I wouldn't want to have to play Michigan again, but they are more of a match than the GAYters. Florida stands NO chance against OSU.
