'Darth Vader' collects $95 million Jamaican Lotto jackpot
...l thought it was a typo until l realized that the island is almost dependent on Tourism. No way they going to come up with a $95 mil US dollars lottery. Given the rate of exchange- Wanna bet Vader's outfit can't cost more than $5.00 and some change. If this person had won $95 mil, the only way to stay alive is to head for the US or some European country, remaining in Jamaica is a death sentence.

Powerball lottery winner Andrew "Jack" Whittaker dies at 72
Speaking for myself- l like it when folks win the lottery, why? because it tells me that its a level playing field and that anyone can win. What people do with their fortune is their business, however, we can point out the foolishness of winners. Do folks have a cause for complain when an inmate on death row requests a kidney transplant? l reserved critical judgment on Jack because he lived life on his terms- this guy.. please.

World Lottery Association president urges veto of warning labels
OJ was smart to call Florida his home and his NFL pension is untouchable there, ask Goldman about that with his wrongful death of his Son. I understand SD is another safe haven from lawsuits like these too. Stack47, you're pretty savvy, any other states that you can think of? Same to you Artist77!

North Carolina grandfather gives lottery winnings to granddaughter
Checked NC, MA, CT and OH L4L FAQ's etc. OH had the full set of rules out there, perhaps other states too. Seems like they, like other lotteries are bearer instruments. Also it mentions about death of the claimant and various time examples. Lots of legal mumbo jumbo.

Powerball winner-turned lawmaker opposes anonymity for lottery prizewinners
I'm sorry...but, as much as Lohse wants people to take the spotlight when they win, to show the public that His State's or His part of the Multi-State is Clean and Honest I see far too many examples that uncontrolled publicity put upon a person can lead toward...namely....DEATH.
One death from The wolves because Lotteries just hafta hafta (and one more hafta from Wisconsin playing Chorus for this Dude.) expose you and your identity is ...... far too much.
Sorry to hear about Michigan

Illegal drugs are a major problem in America. Fentanyl is death. Could this person have purchased the ticket and the overdosed on drugs? Possibly losing the ticket somewhere along his path. Is this reality in America today?

Bill to allow lottery winners to remain anonymous passes Virginia Senate
Transparency needs to be balanced against the rights of a winner. A jackpot win can be a death sentence so the state needs to come up with options. They have an obligation to do so. Audits, etc. can raise the confidence level with attempts to crook the system.

HGTV's 'My Lottery Dream Home' Season 5 premiere wins record ratings
virtually every rich person made their money by using other people's money. opm for short. these wealth management firms (name sounds appealing) cackle when someone comes in with a large sum to invest with them. they are a cut above a used car salesman but their intent is to pig stick you death with fees and trusting them is foolhardy. most of their marks are aged and uninformed. some even forget they invested with these sharks.

Man busts through store roof, steals lottery tickets
A not so funny story is two guys in LA robbed a gas station of scratcher tickets and for no reason shot and killed the poor clerk. They caught them, thank God, and now they are looking at the death penalty or LWOP.
