Quick Picks can't match the power of Self Picks
I buy a quick pick for most every mega draw. I am usually never happy with the numbers on them --- meaning i rarely get quick picks that have numbers i would have even thought of playing. When we bought quick picks in a pool i would go over the numbers and shake my head having found that out of 100 or so tickets many tickets had similar combinations of numbers either sequentially or by position. I expected to see lines that are completely different from one another. Not tickets with the same num

Odds/Number Of Tickets
This was a great post. I am really starting to understand the issue of quick picks better. It is almost as if the quick picks represent one guy buying millions of tickets and of course eventually he will win because of the volume he is buying. Florida does have a lot of quick pick winners, probably in the 50 to 60% range. There are also almost 15 million persons now in Florida with at least 1,000 plus new residents every day. At least that is what the tourist bureau says. So as you can s

The Math and The Lottery
I have found that I do a better job picking my own numbers using trends that I have learned. I think statistical analysis helps you to that end, but relying on it too much takes your eye off the ball.In my opinion the quick pick algorithms used are slanted to intentionally build the jackpot pool.Jeter Fan

The Math and The Lottery
I've read several times that two third of lottery winners used quick picks, so it's obvious that most winners don't use any type of analysis at all and do just fine. I have programs that I wrote myself to track lotteries and pick the combinations to play base on that data, but I do that because it makes playing the lotteries and losing my money more entertaining. I matched 5of6 in the Ohio649 lottery two years ago, but I credit that to luck because I haven't done it again and I'm still using my

Generate 5 out of 10
The quick picks generator is limited to pick 5 out of 30, but I would like to test 5/ 25, 2/20, 5/15 and 5/10. I'm unable to download the Saliu generator, so how might I find another ? I'm able to generate 5/10 with replacements but it yields too many duplications per set. Bertil

I always play quick picks. If there were people who won big or consecutively then of course other people would be asking if they had a system t

Lotto Max (Canada) Odds
Orange71, the Lotto Max, is Tuesday and Friday evenings, and the cost is $ 5.00 to play if a person adds the twist, that is an extra $1.00, and if the person also wants the tag, that is another $1.00. So it can get expensive. I usually pick my own numbers or get an insta pick, -which would be a quick pick, from the clerk. I don't know any good random number generator other than lotterypost But I don't use it often, just the previous above way, that i mentioned- of how i choose or get my nu

Pick 3/4 Meter Made Math Moves
I used the combos you told me you used. I don't have a notion of perfect, I am merely running real predictions based on systems against real drawings and seeing if the results were what probability theory predicts (ie losing an average of half your bets over time) or not. Isn't validation an important part of any experiment? If you don't have a system and just pick combos based on how you feel that day, I have no problem with it because I believe every pick is exactly as good as

Mathematics and the Lottery
Jimmy4164 Yes, I visited the math detective lottery page. I agree that Steve Player's Pick 4 wins in N.H. could be a composite. Lotteries involve ton of money, ton of money attracts the Mob and other thieves. But, it would be impossible to prove. Folks should read the company literature carefully. There is a gimmick in every letter I've ever received from them. Boasting about wins not a good idea, in my opinion. My point is that people are winning lotteries with self pick

There is no Math when it come to winning.
Hmmmm.....you were the one who started this thread and said it was all about luck soooo....... If that were true than it shouldn't matter how you pick your numbers...... A quick pick should be just as good as any other method.
