In MegaMillions, there is no hour cut-off time before the drawing, you can purchase tickets up to 10-15 minutes before the drawing in Ohio. I have cut it as close as 10:45PM even though some clerks have told me I still had 5 minutes. Some stores cut off sales earlier because they shut down their operations earlier while 24 hr. service stations sell tickets right through the drawings but their terminals start printing tickets for the next drawing 10 minutes before the present drawing. There is some problems , in Brazil the jackpot is paid for the winners. The only extra tax that there is is the CPMF 0,38% over all financial operations ... The main problem is that the money is not re-passed to the hospitals or medical programs. Example , the Brazilian govern is not paying the U.S.A. for the drugs against H.I.V.
