2nd Chance Drawings
Hey All- Long time reader, first time poster. I'm wondering how many people like 2nd chance drawings associated with Scratch Games? Does a 2nd chance contest associated with a particular game make you want to buy that game, or is this not a factor when determining which tickets to buy? I personally love 2nd chance drawings because it adds value to non-winning tickets. My favorite 2nd chance contest that I partcipated in was the Harley Davidson game :) If you like em, what are your favorit

Scratch Off or RIP OFF
I agree. Scratch games are awful. I'm better off playing $3 each on four Pick 4 quick picks depending on how the $12 play goes, the top prize can be $ 15,000 or more, or the odds can be made as low as 1:105

My questions about Scratchers
Hi NJJim, lots of good observations and questions in your posts. I'm only familiar with scratch games in Florida so my info is limited to that state, and I probably will not touch on all your points. The Fl Lotto will never confirm such information, but in following games here it's clear that top prizes are seeded evenly throughout a game's run, thus when a game reaches 50% sold it's fair to consider half of the top prizes have been sold too. This can be inferred through a couple data points

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Debated whether to purchase one of the two $20 scratch games last night. Instead purchased a $10 emarld and a $10 millionaires club at my neighborhood. Nothing. Folks, in my four months of playing the CA lottery at a moderate maybe 4-5 scratchers a month with no prize at all, sometimes I just a free ticket to ge my money back lol I came to the conclusion that scratcher games in CA are just milking you dry. The commision is just cash cowing at an alarming rate. I lived in Atlanta,Ga for a y

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Yeah, I always like to do the numbers on new scratch games to see how the prizes are structured. Interesting to see the way they manipulate to prize tiers to entice players. I like the $250,000 prize $5 games, been mostly good to me, and they have a decent balance of typical payout versus sizeable top prize. Of course, these are just numbers and as always your mileage may vary. You could do spectacularly well on $10 games, and just get beaten to death on $5 games, that's just the way the lott

LFL started around 1/25/13. Scratch games typically run from 9-12 months. They don't always sell out all top prizes before the game is pulled. Sometimes there are many top prizes left unclaimed when a game is pulled. It's a marketing decision. But they sometimes extend and do a re-order on games that sell well and extend the game. We don't know the exact method of top prize insertion, but I doubt it's completely random. $10 LFL has 30M tickets and 10 top prizes. Imagine if they left it

Looking for scratch players from TN
hey PATTYH ... you'll be tickeld to know that ruby red 7's in tennesse are 1 in 3.30 and the same exact game in nc has the odds set at 1 in 3.93 ... both similar games, however in nc the top prize is only 70k ... in tennessee the top prize is 77,777, as you well know. BUT, there are only 2 top prizes remaining ... in both states. It concerns me when the top prizes get low in quantity. It's possible that they ahve already been discovered and put back ... or its even possible they have been destro

Ohio Scratch Offs with Top Prizes Remaining
Hey Ohio Players, I'm getting ready to take advantage of a extremely lucky planetary aspect to my 5th house of gambling in my natal chart at 21 degrees of Leo. Last time I caught this aspect in Atlantic City to win $2000 on a Draw Poker machine. Since, I'll be in Ohio for this transit, I thought I'd taking aim at purchasing scratch offs come May 12th. In that effort, I have been digging deep into Ohio's scratch games and making note of what tickets have top prizes remaining. The on

How many scratch should I buy at one time?
scratch offs are 100% Totally Random I would disagree with that. 100% is a tough thing to support. I like scratch games because they are NOT totally random. Some people think they are, think they're the lottery equivalent of a slot machine. But nothing could be further from the truth. The wins aren't selected by a random number generator like slots or lottery draws. The wins are of a fixed amount and scheduled in a pseudo-random manner, with deliberate minimum amount in wins within pack bo

Should you play the same game a chaser is playing with?
If you consider that Scratch games are a competitive game, then yes, it's OK to buy from the same roll someone else is playing. You're both competing for the same wins in the roll, and sometimes your opponent is the also clerk! You win, they lose. They win, you lose. Some people might get pissed off, but hey, what can they do, its the only machine or bin in the store, and they cannot hog the machine and hold up the line. It's kinda like jumping in on someone's slot machine at the casino when
