Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Just a general question, when did Florida begin adding the barcode on scratchers? I last visited in 2011 and you weren't able to scan to see if they were winners, you had to give it to clerk to verify. In any event, the $10 tix down in FL seem to be the best, won $100 a few times. Couldn't hit more than $40 on the $20 tix Gold Rush or old Monopoly.

Good job! I hit a 50x $2 yesterday as well. I'm not having good luck at all. I have been focusing on the $25. I have noticed that the winners seem to be hitting towards they end of the rolls. I looked on the remaining winners and i think if I remember correctly all big winners are still available minus one For the 50x ticket. I do not even think they have re-ordered. I just started entering in all my losers for the second chance. I wasn't going to do this but decided might as well. I have sooooo

Nice! It's cool to hear of a great win like that.Congrats on the 500 and being 'up' lol.you sound like me-- already have the Vegas trip planned once the big win comes in :) (I'll return to Vegas in 13 days, so my time is running out for the TN Lottery to be good to me!)I have to ask, do you and your lottery friends already have the agreement on who will take the tax hit in the event you win more than $600?I had the super rare opportunity to win $1000 earlier this year on , yep, you guessed it, G

Scratch offs as a tax write off?
You save your losers keep the tax form the lottery sent you try and keep a dollar amount of your loses rounded off to the nearest dollar the tax man will enter this information on your tax forms. Find a safe place to store your losers in the event you ever get audited. Your only going to get a percentage of what the fed take from you but every little bit helps. If you don't normally itemise deductions then your tax man might tell you to forgetaboutit.

Seeing if an instant lottery ticket is a winner
My advice is to resist the temptation of deciphering the codes or lulling yourself into the false belief that you understand them. They're intended for retailer use in the event they choose to sight validate a low-tier prize winning ticket instead of using their terminal. For all low-tier prizes ($1-$25) the codes are specific to the prize level and generally make sense. A $4 winner always has the code FOR , a $20 winner is always TWN , a $10 winner is always TEN , etc. But, for all other ticket

The secret to winning lottery with Scratch off's
If you did know within a certain threshold that certain book ranges would contain the jackpot tickets then you could increase your odds greatly. How? If the game and books were sent out sequentially yes, however they are taking the prints now and sending out the front with the back overage tickets to presell all the losers. Take for instance it doesn't matter that I can predict the section of tickets or books within a 15% range with a 80% probability, because why? Take for instance the l

Probably the case. I know that I've seen people pull tickets out of the trash to check them for winners and enter them into second chance drawings. A few months ago, I saw a guy with hundreds of tickets at Publix. He was using the self-scanner one at a time to scan them. He told me that he would enter the losers into second chance drawings. I didn't ask him if he ever won. In any event, I never get my hopes up with the second chance drawings. I think I'm 0-30 in those things now.

Welcome Giantfan. I will reiterate duckman's advice. I've chased a lot over the years and sometimes it paid off well but most times it does not. The only additional advice I can add is that if you do hit a big winner ($100+), resist the temptation to go out and buy a ton of more tickets expecting that you will continue to hit those big wins. Although it is possible you may have a very lucky day and hit more big wins, most people end up giving back a lot of the winnings. Your endorphins will

Well it's been pretty quiet here. I went on a binge of sorts the last two days. Mostly on the $5 Cashfall and then picking up a $20 Monopoly or GRD here and there. Here are the highlights of the venture. The two larger wins kept me mostly even. The Cashfall game is still very punishing if you don't hit a $100 prize or more after a while. In any event, good luck everyone. As thrilled as I was with the $250 win, it is 4 times easier to win $500 which would have been better.
