Nice hit on the $1,000 goherd14. I know you've won your share of $1,000 prizes, I still remember how I felt when I won my first $1,000 earlier this year. It seems like ages ago. I actually haven't played any scratch offs (in or out of state) since my last venture to Georgia. Quitting cold turkey is a very hard thing but after awhile the urge was purged from my system. Hi LadyB1217, I feel your pain. I actually have felt the same way about the South Carolina Education Lottery here in my home state. For years I have poured money into system, with the small dream of hitting a jackpot or at least winning one of the significant prizes. Thus far, I have not been successful. I can't speak for any one else in my state or other states but judging by what I see in my state there doesn't appear to be a rhyme or reason to where winning tickets are and where they are shipped to. Plus, for instance, I wouldn't expect my lottery jurisdiction (South Carolina Education Lottery) to give details as to where winning jackpot tickets would be as that would create a mad rush in that city for people trying to buy tickets I would presume. You can contact the Public Records person for this info. Each state lottery has one, but it is often buried. Go to Contact Us on the bottom of the page, then the Public Records Request link on the side, and you can email the person that handles such requests. Just ask them clearly what you want and they'll try and see if they can send it to you. It's better if more people bug them for this data.
