I'd take a $1000 win over nothing at all which I never won anything right now, not even 100 free music downloads during the Warner Bros promotion back in 2008. I use the 2nd chance to validate my tickets as winners/losers before throwing them away, since I get 3 tickets bi monthly, its not much of a hassle any more.

The $5 LL (~50% claimed) seems to be outselling the $10 LL (~33% claimed) right now. The $5 LL is behind 2 top prizes in terms of pace and the $10 LL is roughly 1 and a half. Not sure if people are paying attention to the LIFE symbol, I hope not or else it would be a huge win for the CALottery if that is the case. I think the $5 promotion will bring more incentive to play the $5 over the $10 LL from this point on.

The HotSpot promotion is on again until June 1st. I think the bonus prize structures look similar to the one just recently. Just had a bad day at the Video Keno machines last night (the IGT Game King variety, those have a payout of 93.6%), only could get 3 out of 4 spots and 5 out of 7 spots at best. One more hit for each would have been the difference between a good day and a bad day.

Went to a 7-11 today, haven't been to one in a while. Bought a $5M JP and turn to leave and the clerk said, hey wait, take this and handed me a CA Lottery T-shirt. I guess they must have a bunch of these things still available. Who knows how many thousands of shirts calottery printed for this promotion. The ticket lost, so at least I got a consolation prize. It's 100% cotton, so even if I don't wear it around, I can use it for other purposes.

The new $1, $2, $5, and $20 Monopoly tickets are out today (July 2nd). The new $10 Monopoly ticket has been out since June 17th. The Monopoly Second Chance promotion starts today also. It includes all the new Monopoly tickets AND the older $3,000,000 Monopoly $20 tickets (Game#1063) and the older $500,000 Monopoly $5 tickets (Game#1152). Another reason to always keep older tickets...

I was looking at Georgia's Lttery's 3 million Taxes Paid and noticed that they also have a scratcher called Super Millions where you could win 1 million in a second chance promotion. I'm not pleased at all with FL Lttery at this point considering that Florida is one of the most populous states in the USA.
