I do not know how Tommy C is using quick picks to pick his own numbers. But, here is my theory. He takes all the numbers that appear in the quick pick tickets and creates a sorted list. Then he takes the 7 numbers that appear the fewest number of times and plays those numbers. Why? Because he believes that quick picks are selected by the lottery organizer to be the losing numbers so the jackpot will roll. Playing Quick Picks Versus Picking Your Own NumbersReply
I did a few experiments in which I played the same set of numbers along side of a random quick pick over a bunch of drawings and found the quick picks did better. I've also been playing with the LP quick pick generator to see if I get better results. Random.org also has a quick pick generator worth looking at.

Thanks! You understand exactly what I was doing. Some people play the same set of numbers drawing after drawing while others just use quick picks from the terminal. I was trying to see what would match more numbers over multiple drawings, a static set of numbers or a different quick pick every drawing. The quick picks did do a little better and some of them actually won money, but the average number of matches wasn't much different between the two. I've done this experiment with Louisiana Lo

many have claimed their jackpot winnings as an LLC or Trust and after 90 days the site did not update that information. So anybody who wants to know the name etc. of the actual winner would have to go digging. Also, I noticed most winners? won by using quick-pick. I read between 70% and 80% of Power Ball and Mega Million winners won by quick pick. Both games have extremely high odds, luck plays a huge part.
