$900 MILLION: Powerball jackpot rises, but sales miss in last draw makes for small increase
If you actually want to have $900 million in cash then you better wait until the jackpot annuity hits $3 Billion, taxes and the cash option will reduce any prize by over 70%.

$875 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges on rollover
l have a simple Theory and my theory is if the Jackpot does not increase from $875 million to one Billion dollars tonight it means Sales are not hot so Nobody will win Tonight and Next jackpot will be $1.2 billion and self increase to $1.5 billion. But if the Jackpot goes up tonight to $1 billion then two people will win and Share the Jackpot and those two people will be Me lol hahaha Because l bought two similar tickets one for Lump sum and one for Annuity . I need to enjoy life Now and also to

$725 MILLION: Powerball jackpot now 11th-largest in history
Just observed something for the first time on the top 25 Annuity list to see where the increase put this PB jackpot at... Ever notice how the jackpot hasn't been won in the $800M or even $900M range....... Goes from 768 right to a Billion+.....Well,should this roll and get to $8-900M, I will gladly volunteer to be 1st winner in that category

$725 MILLION: Powerball jackpot now 11th-largest in history
Hearsetrax is on it !!! Muuuuuch better. I got looking at the annuity payout plan on the TX lottery site for this upcoming draw https://www.texaslottery.com/export/sites/lottery/Documents/jackpotestimates/pb20230710.pdf If you were 20-30 years old and had spending control issues, those annuity payouts might not be a bad deal, starting with the 1st deposit at $10,912,290.00 Now, us old curmudgeons ??? We are probably leanin' towards take the money and run .............Either w

Lotto Jackpot Questions
Instead of getting the whole jackpot, you'd get two halves of the jackpot. The only practical difference from a single ticket win is that if you wanted to, you could take the lump sum for one ticket and the annuity for the other.

$1.55 BILLION: Biggest Mega Millions jackpot ever to be drawn Tuesday
Maybe after sales calculation it will be number two. The TX MM worksheet is reporting the supported jackpot as $1,588,588,007. If they manage that it wil be the #2 annuity by a modest margin, but even if it gets past 1.6 the cash will miss the 3rd place position by about $80 million and the 2nd place position by almost $200 million. A roll will give us an advertised jackpot starting at $1.8 billion, and $892.4 million cash. That will still be almost $100 million shy of 2nd place. It wou

Did Michigan just lower their cash payouts?
I forgot that there are people on here that clearly do not understand annuities. The Michigan annuity prizes pay out 33,333.33 per year for 30 years per million dollar prize. The annuity is now funded with a lower cash value! I do not believe they made the change based on interest rates but maybe they only increased the cash amount for their 50th anniversary celebration. They are always making changes and not telling the players so I can only speculate. My point being Michiga

$1.23 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
The Saturday jackpot was raised to $1.3 billion , with a cash option of $608.9 million . I'm wondering if they managed a typo for the cash value. If the cash:annuity ratio stayed the same it would be $628.9 million cash. If it's really $6 0 8.9 that's a pretty big change in interest rates, and a fairly big coincidence that the difference is an even $20.0 million. The TX website hasn't posted the worksheet yet, but that should give us the answer if MUSL doesn't make a change first.
