Florida winner of $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot steps forward to claim prize
As stated in the article, a Florida Lottery official directly confirmed that they are not sharing the info at this time. That PDF may totally be correct, and the Florida Lottery may have mistakenly published it, but that cannot be confirmed without official word from the lottery. It is also possible that the PDF is incorrect. That said, of course they almost certainly took the cash option. But as a journalist to write that as fact in a published article without confirmation would be irrespon

Michigan: 9/1 - 9/30/2023
I would highly recommend reading the article for yourself. News related to the Michigan lottery is appreciated by most all of us, but your comments are somewhat misleading, Toobadd$. However, there were some good tips in the article. $910 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot making another historic run
You definitely have a valid argument especially on free tax advice however when someone puts their credentials CPA next to the article they have written, then it really is worrying if the article is not sound advice. My personal thoughts would be since the subject of TAX is factual and not based on perception or preference - we have tax brackets for single, married filing jointly or married filing separately, head of household etc - then someone penning an article on any TAX subject should b

Someone needs to console me now...
You're being downvoted mostly because you're factually wrong. The article says the winning ticket was a quick pick. Direct quote from article: His winning numbers were purchased with a Quick Pick, he emphasized. God picked for me, he said, pointing upwards. So, thank you. He laughed and elicited an amused applause from the spectators. You're also being downvoted for being insufferable.

Winner of $95 million Lotto Texas lottery jackpot gamed the odds to win
I don't know, but I thought I had seen somewhere that RNG QPs do not repeat any combination until every combination has been picked once. That doesn't take into consideration the players who are picking their own numbers that will duplicate combinations that RNG may have given out. However, as I researched this win, I found one article that said the winning ticket was self picked numbers. So if cards had been filled out to cover all of the combinations the logistics of that are amazing if the ca

$1.3 billion Mega Millions lottery winner's family sues him for not sharing jackpot
Did you read article, he lied and got caught doing so, because he wanted to start drama with his baby mama. He is a cold blooded despicable human being. Promised his dad all these things then reneged because father didn't want to separate himself from his granddaughters mother

Virginia woman wins $50,000 Pick 5 prize on first-ever lottery ticket
It was probably a quick pick. Having never played the lottery before which I doubt sincerely but if true she probably would not filled out a card unless her mother gave her certain 5 digit numbers to play then maybe. Details left out of article about that part of it. Oh, I think I will play 2,9,4,2,3 isn't a combination that just pops into your head. This game would be dangerous to the Virginia lottery if 1,2,3,4,5 came in as there would probably be multiple winners.

Winner of $95 million Lotto Texas lottery jackpot gamed the odds to win
I am intrigued about these lottery courier services. Who uses them? The only other time I have heard of them was when an Iraqi citizen used one and won an Oregon lottery. Based on this article, could someone use one of this services if they wanted to purchase tickets in a state where one is allowed to be anonymous? Are these services for state lotteries only or for Powerball and MegaMillions too?

Michigan man wins $200K Powerball prize after playing his kids' birthdays numbers
I'm guessing 34 was the one number he missed. As the article states, he matched 4 of the first 5 numbers plus the Powerball.
