Idaho $1M Powerball ticket to expire Friday
Time is quickly running out for the holder of an unclaimed $1 million Powerball ticket that was sold last summer. The ticket will expire Friday at 3 p.m. if the holder does not arrive in Boise at Idaho Lottery Headquarters to claim their prize. The winning ticket was sold for the June 20 Powerball draw from an Idaho Lottery retail location in Meridian. The ticket matched the first five numbers from that night's draw, but not the Powerball itself. The winning numbers for that night were 11,

$540 MILLION: Mega Millions buying frenzy sparks another jackpot increase
I went into one of my lottery places and had to wait for somebody to have his $100 worth of tickets printed. Then he said that he would be back Friday to do it again........ When I ran a pool and bought a big number of tickets I would manually pick all the powerball/meg ball numbers 1-the max. That way I was guarranteed to have at least one winner. So far I have bought 10 tickets $1 at 10 different stores. Gas stations grocery stores so far not a liquor store. Bought tickets in the west

Cash Vs Annuity Payments
This is my first post here and I joined just to get comments on my supposition. So here goes. In my state, there is a 7% state tax on lottery winnings. If I won the top prize tonight and chose the annuity, could I not pay the 7% on the 1st year's annuity payment AND THEN move to Wyoming or Nevada or Florida where there is NO state income tax and receive the rest of the annuity payments free of state tax for the next 25 years? It would mean millions of extra dollars. Also I t

Blackjack player legitimately beats casinos for millions
Johnson, 49, of Bensalem, Pa., is the chief executive officer of Heritage Development LLC, a Wyoming-based company that uses computer-assisted wagering programs for horseracing. No quick picks there probably, but technique based on past stats. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- His huge wins capped a casino gambling career that started with him placing $25 bets at blackjack about 15 years ago. As he became more proficient, he transitioned into h

7 States I Would Not Live In
i do agree about nevada. they are a casino state and gambling is like a religion there. so they really do not need powerball or mega. and some of the casinos in vegas you can actually win a couple of million or more like you can on powerball. Texas doesnt have casinos, and many states that dont have casinos will have mega and powerball. Mississippi sucks. they are still living in the 17th century. so of course there backward minds will always have negative views about the lottery.

Best place for a large Lottery Winners to Live
I still pick Wyoming as my favorite. I Already have my property picked out and my new house designed. The people there are really nice, as are the ones next door in South Dakota. A complete contrast, yet my 3rd favorite would be Vegas. The one nice thing about vegas, is because the stock market opens there at 6:30, many days I could get my stock flipping done my 7:30 and still have all day. Even if I would work all day at it, I would be done by 1:30PM. And boy would I absolutely love to live

Finally, one's growing!
You folks have bad memories, we've been through this: Not too long ago we discussed the winners, how there were more from Idaho or Wyoming, or even an Iowa - a sparse state regardless of which one - when there were none from Pennsylvania. *BUT* go back a few years, and there were winners from PA. And don't be putting words in my mouth - I didn't say the lottery is not random. Having to explain YET AGAIN, if you read my first posting, I simply asked how often one state will win consecu
