Undercover lottery investigation tests store clerks' honesty
I can't watch the videos but if the statements in the article concerning the New York Lottery's actions in relation to this sting are definitive of the situation then heads should roll in the upper echelons of the New York Lottery. It is unfreakingbelievable and unconscionable that the New York Lottery would give potential crooks, cheats and thieves in their network a heads-up on someone trying to catch them in the act. They should have welcomed and been actively involved and participating in

The morning after you win & your job
I would call out sick and go straight to lottery headquarters to make sure the ticket is valid. I wouldn't want them to say there was a printing error . Once it was confirmed, I would then claim it anonymously (we can do that in SC), book a hotel room for the week (since lottery headquarters is an hour from my home) and then visit an attorney tax accountant. I would then go to work the next day and not say a word to anyone. Just that I'm not feeling like my usual self!!! Which would be no li

so would you tell your boss why you were quitting your job
This is another thing I daydream about. It's a wonder how I get anything done with all this daydreaming. LOL. In my head, this is how it would go down: I'd go back to work, but over a period of a week, every day I'd take a few items of personal stuff home with me until it was all cleared. Then I'd leave my ID badge on my desk along with a letter of resignation. In reality, I'd talk to my boss face to face and say that due to personal reasons I am putting in my two weeks notice. That'

Official wants fraud probe of Tennessee Lottery
I believe that statement was made to take the attention from who would benefit the most by having a rigged drawing. When Hargrove announced the Tennessee Lottery was going to computer drawings she sited to maximize dollars for education as one of the reasons. When players began pointing out a possible problem with the new computer drawings because no doubles were drawn, they were told that security had looked into it to insure integrity of its games to maximize dollars for education . indiana lottery corruption
LosingJeff neglected to mention that, despite the installation of a new lottery director, the remainder of the incumbent crew is largely intact. This includes their programmers, security personnel (mostly retired cops) and other lower-level employees. Also, Governor Mitch Daniels has repeatedly requested the resignations of several state agency heads and officers, including those who serve on the board of directors of the Hoosier Lottery. These people refuse to resign and, by law, cannot be force

Long-time pals hit jackpot
It was like prom night all over again four giddy couples crammed into a stretch limousine, cruising the streets. But the pack of friends weren't on their way to a dance. Instead, the 30- and 40-somethings were dropping off checks of more than $3.6 million at their banks, each couple's share of the Canadian Lotto 6/49 jackpot. We're still actually trying to fathom what has gone down; none of us has slept very much, said Lorraine Ulrick, her husband Gregory beside her, as the limo pulled to a stop
