US lottery operators worry as fewer millennials line up to play
Widen your search- in fact try and look up of all places a site called: The stack exchange- that word in the Ojibwe dialect, the verb means he who looks on in secret. nifty huh?

Should lottery winners share with colleagues?
i agree, i've experience the loss of both parents and i'd love to have had the chance to make their lives better for all they've done for me. I do understand what the guy is talking about, my mom could keep a secret but my dad would have a hard time and most likely would have told someone and word would spread. For my safety and everyone i love I would want to remain anonymous.

$270M Mega Millions lottery jackpot claimed anonymously
A very wise winner. Glad to see they had patience and forethought to protect their identity. Sure, word of mouth will erode their secret in their local area, but they shouldn't be as big a target, like Jack Whittaker was. Let their trust make those donations to charity.

Australia's biggest lottery winner still working after winning record $107 million Powerball jackpot
Makes sense to me why should they ask, they family. l read where they paying attention to helping people out there, and not a word on helping your family, is that a secret? l Like the idea that Australia does not tax lottery winning. What they will tax is revenue earned from investments.

British Columbia Lottery taking bets on US election
You really need to quit the C P jobs, Teddy. Unless you have permission to do so, it's a copyright violation to use all or a substantial part of an article. Depending upon the website's TOU, you usually CAN quote snippets of the article, but you also need to link to the quoted material, if for nothing else than a courtesy to the reader as well as acknowledging the site from which it originated. Of course, doing it the right way involves ethics and considering who you support, it's no wonde

Maryland Mega Millions winners claim prize anonymously
I think the only stupid ones are the ones who failed to see that the argument was not about remaining anonymous but allowing ALL states the same freedom of choice. But keeping the winners secret only hurts the lottery as there is no proof anyone won, and we wonder if any real people actually won those huge jackpots. Until like the stupid ones I don't take the lottery and media's word for it. Just like those phonies on here who live in states that allow you to remain anonymous. I bet their tune w

Pool of McDonald's workers claims Mega Millions fraud
I always find it odd that educators for schools win alot. Or cooks who work at schools win, or people who work in the school system win alot. Yet I also find it odd that Dominique Gourdet, the live in boyfriend claims in an affidavit filed in the case that when the lottery numbers were picked March 30, he being Wilson's live-in boyfriend would not have said anything at the time. Gourdet the live in boyfriend says Wilson told him multiple times that a ticket she'd purchased for the McDonald's

Florida Lottery winner featured on TV show
Many can afford Lustig's book. Few can afford his system. If I had hundreds of dollars to spend every day playing the lottery, I'd do it too. That's the only way to improve one's odds of winning. There are two clues in the article that give away his secret. First, he refuses to say how much he spends per day. If he did that, most people would immediately realize what his system is, and sales of the book would be dismal. Second, he says never spend more than you can afford. He'd be heavily

$196M Ohio lottery winner trying to claim anonymously?
Absolutely, I think I've said it before, my main reason for wanting to claim while keeping my identity safe would be so that I wouldn't have a picture of me (without a disguise at least, heh) out there with my name attached to it in papers and floating all over the internet. I'm still young and I'm single but I wouldn't want my name out there to meet women either because it'd do more to attract the kind I don't think I'd want to be involved with. As far as being found out by immediate family, th

$93.4 million Powerball lottery winner is New Mexico's third
Good suggestions.I'm run a small lottery pool with 3 coworkers and we've talked about the possibility of winning and what we will do if it happens. Before claiming, we plan to get a financial advisor so we can plan for the future and an attorney to help us with the legal stuff in addition to claiming the winnings on our behalf. We plan on using a trust or corporation to claim it, so our names will be kept out of the newspapers. I know this isn't 100% privacy, but it helps. After we get our mon
