A verbal Lottery joke agreement wouldn't hold up in Court, would it?
So, there was an article about what NOT to do if you win the Lottery or will win the Lottery. One of the tips was something like, Never joke, about giving someone a cut of your winnings if you win the Lottery because they could sue you for your winnings if you do. For example, never jokingly, say to your to your Friend, Tom, if I ever win The Powerball 1.5 Billion Jackpot, I'll give you $20 Million, but I'm sure I'll never win it, it's a 1 in a 1.5 Billion chance. Tom and you both laugh, but if

A verbal Lottery joke agreement wouldn't hold up in Court, would it?
If you both tell the court there was agreement, laughingly or not, the court will likely uphold that agreement. Even if you are laughing, and they laugh too, there was an oral understanding, an offer tendered without conditions and acknowledged. In most states that would be an oral contract. G

A verbal Lottery joke agreement wouldn't hold up in Court, would it?
Tasha, you are going down the rabbit hole again. Your question was answered. After the fact is not relevant. It actually adds credence to the facts that there was an actual agreement and the winner got greedy and did not want to share after a win.

Maybe we are making a mistake in predicting random lotteries as a whole, let's divide it into 4 part
It's difficult to determine which lottery game San wants to discuss because he seldom says it upfront. It wasn't until page two when San finally mentioned the path to pick3 . I'm in totally agreement that the majority of MM and PB ticket sales are QP and when the ticket buying frenzy starts, an estimate of 90% of sales are QPs might be on the low side. Don't recall any pick 3 buying frenzies because that jackpot never changes. I won't say for a fact the majority of pick 3 sales are self pic

A serious lottery pool should have rules and not just a gentleman agreement they should be written in black and white. It's always best to make copies of the tickets before the draws and share them with members so everyone is looking out for the winner. The rule of thumb is if you don't feel comfortable with the processes, you can just bail out and play solo.

Other Systems besides Pick 3,4 etc.
I'm in agreement with the odds are lowest of any game. It also the least expensive game. Years prior you would see more jackpot game systems in that forum, but that passed for several reasons. Primarily because people realized if hey had a winning system (a system that won jackpots) sharing it would be taking money out of their pocket. With say, $200,000 payout, and 3 or 4 winners, that jackpot doesn't seem so sweet. And the national games seem more geared to deep pockets and large g

Because the hottest number in a lottery doesn't mean it will come in the next draw?
Allen, at 69, I'm not that much younger than you. Age aside, our personalities may have bumped heads back then, but we are who we are. I am, and always have been, a no nonsense type of person. My dad was the same. I do have a sense of humor, but when things get serious and I need to focus, I may temporarily lose some of that humor gene. I don't like wasting time trying to read between the lines so to speak. We're good Allen! Your cricket stories show you have a sense of humor as well as quit
