Ghost of a chance
I went sailing up the inland channel between Washington and Alaska for a few weeks studing marine life in college. It cured me of any desire to sail. Permanently. From now on only boats with a real bathroom. Even large 60' sail boats don't seem to have them.

Would you spend $10 Million on a home.
So just rent, it's much cheaper. Rich people do that now with personal jets and high end boats. It's like time shares but with jets and boats. Time shares allow one or more occupants to share a living space, mostly on the shore, and everyone who participates buys a time share for a period of time that all agree on. The occupants may have a month or two and then some other person/s takes over. No maintenance, fees, or any other expenses, just a flat rate.

What would you buy with $100 mil$
Some people buy more boat than they can afford, and for those people I'd guess that's pretty much true. Some of them buy $20,000 boats and some buy $20 million dollar boats, but they all get in over their heads. If I cleared 100 million after taxes I'd probably give serious thought to a boat in the 100 foot range, but even with that much money I'd probably plan on dumping a lot of money into it for a several years and then taking the loss when I trade down to a 50 footer and stay in the Ca

had any software helped you to win?
Not on a consistent basis. But if it did, l will make certain to spread that information around to members of the forum. The rising tide floats all boats.

Holy (SNIP) you won the Powerball... Champagne wishes and caviar dreams...
I think one of the best thing to spend money on would be traveling. Big mansions, exotic cars, boats, planes-- these area all material things. They will be exciting for a while, but after time passes you will most likely get bored of them. Traveling you get to meet new people, experience different cultures and beautiful scenery. Those memories will last forever.

Is owning an island on anyone's wish list
I think Teddi makes the perfect case for NOT wanting to get an Island should one win a major jackpot. The last thing you would want is the Papparazzi hanging out in boats hundreds of yards off shore with their telescopic lenses trained on the size of your gut or reporting back on what you did or did not do now that you a winner. It also helps to remain anonymous instead of getting your name in the news over an Island purchase. In a word: No Thanks.
