Janite Lee: Is she still alive?
South Korean immigrant Janite Lee was working at a wig shop when she won $18 million in the Illinois lottery in 1993. Eight years later, when she filed for bankruptcy, she had less than $700 in the bank and $2.5 million in debt. Her donations were well-intentioned, but she simply gave too much. After donating huge sums to educational, political and social causes, she sold her rights to future annual payments in exchange for a lump sum, according to Time. But even that wasn t enough to keep h

DC man sues the lottery after incorrect numbers posted on website would have won him $340 million
Most up to date info on this case. Looks like he was granted his request to file an amended complaint which is pretty much routinely granted. Powerball filed a motion to dismiss in January and it looks like this motion is on the calendar for May. So the case should be dismissed at that point. I am sure he will appeal to the appellate court as before. There are pdfs for all the pleadings. https://portal-dc.tylertech.cloud/app/RegisterOfActions/#/5A03F66E68C8F904ADEA594C890F08F24114A78DA2D

DC man sues the lottery after incorrect numbers posted on website would have won him $340 million
Did some research. This appears to be the same guy, I think. https://ballotpedia.org/John_C._Cheeks He also sued a woman for libel and failed to serve her. Dismissed. Also sued a builder when they wanted payment. Looks like he was ordered to pay. https://caselaw.findlaw.com/court/us-dc-circuit/1940773.html Look what he alleged. Sound familiar ???? Conspiracy??? Racketeering????

$1.35 billion Mega Millions lottery winner suing mother of his child for revealing win to family
Looks like some people are missing real life legal experience and a basic understanding of the judicial system. What's an in camera review? In camera review means a review of a document or interview of an individual in the Judge's chambers, or in the courtroom with all spectators excluded . Access to a document or other media in camera are not part of the Court record and are limited to access by the Judge and judicial officers only.

Texas Lottery pays out largest jackpot in state history with $360 million Mega Millions claim
Regardless of where I live i would set up a trust in South Dakota. Not only for tax reasons but because it is the hardest place for anyone to get any info about a trust. In most states if you want to bad enough you can go through the court system for info and to sue a trust. South Dakota courts will tell you to pound sand. The states whole industry is the privacy laws protecting trust. So if someone wants to say you owe them money, they won't get it from a trust administered in South d

Arrested for buy too many Lottery tickets?
You said you were arrested apparently for the crime of having a stack of 20s . Your lottery probably retains legal council, but doubt they are responsible for the arrest or will represent you if you decide to sue for a number of reasons. Should have filmed it and posted it on YouTube. And BTW, A recent series of articles by The Washington Post chronicling the issue found that of the 400 court cases examined by The Post where people who challenged seizures and received money back

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
The ONLY way for that to be possible is if the ball is missing from the machine, or due to some outside interference that prevents that ball from being drawn. This is where $hit$talker claims LO's rig the draws. Without proof, and scared to take LO's to court, because he knows no lawyer would be as stupid as him.

"Lottery Lawyer" Jason Kurland sentenced to prison after defrauding winners of over $100 million
Kurland wont do all 13 years of his sentence and what ever time he actually does do will be spent at a minimum security Federal Detention Center for white collar criminals. (aka Club Fed ) Restitution will be a joke. He doesn't have that kind of money and wont ever have millions again. And where's the court appointed trustee trying to clawback some of the money that belonged to the people that were scammed? The article makes no mention of anything like that. It does mention forfeiture of 64
