Oklahoma Gov. To Reveal Design Of Lottery Tickets
Henry says Oklahomans are excited about kicking off the lottery and raising money for education.I'm betting they're a lot more excited about buying tickets and hoping to win prizes than they are about 'raising money for education'. That would be a nice referendum sometime. A binding vote by the population allowing them to choose whether they'd prefer to have that 'education' money go back into the prizes, or go to education. There's a lot of assuming that goes on about the issue, a lot of postu

Hooray! NC Gets a Lottery!
We can only hope that the children of NC get a more decent education as promised. Although the lottery proceeds may go to education, in reality, the education system does not see more funds, because the state then diverts funds from the general fund toward other purposes -- all the lottery proceeds end up doing is just replacing those funds.
