Ethics or Not
This has everything to do with ethics, and it is exactly like finding a wallet (maybe that's even where the ticket was when you found it), except that this wallet contains more money than most. With only one exception (Gasmeterguy, who is apparently a thief), everybody understands that the right thing to do is to return the ticket to the rightful owner. Most people seem to be demonstrating (or at least claiming) good ethics, by saying they would return the ticket, though some of those seem to

Lottery Ethics
It's a personal choice based on your view. The words moral and ethics are often used interchangeably. However, it is useful to make the following distinction: Morality is the system through which we determine right and wrong conduct (i.e.: the guide to good or right conduct). Ethics is the philosophical study of Morality.

Lottery Ethics
Generally, I try to avoid RNG like the plague, even opting for a higher odds game at times. I often switch back to the lower odds RNG, but then I think Playing this game violates all my ethics and beliefs regarding games of chance. However many states are opting for this questionable practice. What do you think? Should these games be boycotted? Are they free from corruption? How can a player protect themselves when playing games like Quick Draw? Do the dangers outweigh the rewards? Jus

lost jackpot ticket
Just a slight twist to the question...what if you observed someone accidently leave the ticket on the counter or even watched it fall from their pocket to the ground. Would you let the person know or would you palm the ticket for yourself? And perhaps another question is...could you honestly live with yourself knowing you was reaping a reward that was not honestly yours? Or do you set aside all of your ethics and not worry about it ?Perhaps a statement to consider is this...A man who is good do

Another question to the Doctor is how he or she views his morals in relation to his or her own ethics. And yet another question is how the doctor views his or her professional ethics as it relates to his or her patients. In my view the lottery winner's view is a question of more of his or her duty to their fe

Lottery Ethics 2
1: Your spouse refers to you as an idiot for wasting money on the lottery. You just won Pick-3 Straight for $5 on five individual tickets, do you tell your spouse? 2: A regular just paid on their bar tab with a winning scratch ticket. Later you realize the ticket is worth more then you both thought, do you tell your partner? 3: Your in laws have sent a twenty to buy Quick Picks for the big draw. You buy twenty for them and twenty for yourself, later you realize you don't know which t

Trusting your lawyer with the winning ticket
That is why one does their due diligence. There are ethics and rules of conduct in place for attorneys. So you go to a name firm and a well established firm. There is no legitimate comparison between politicians and attorneys. No major firm will allow their name to be ruined by a rogue attorney. I don't think some people are aware of how you interact with attorneys and the written documents in place.
