Small Winnings Tax Question
Currency Reporting - Money Laundering The Currency Transaction Report (CTR) came into existence with the passage of the Currency and Foreign Transactions Reporting Act, better known as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), in 1970. When the first version of the CTR was introduced the only way a suspicious transaction of less than $10,000 was reported to the government was if a bank teller called an agent and provided the information. This was due, primarily, to the concern by financial i

order declined at betslips
How do you know they're playing on line? Before the on-line gambling business got started many bookies in the larger cities were covering those pick3/4 bets. They are still doing it because once in a while I'll read where one got busted, it's illegal. Don't expect someone to tell you of their illegal activities just because you're nice enough to PM them.

do you worry when you spend money$
Surly you jest BossMike. The Illuminati (in charge of all things) and the Lottery work very closely together to make sure that large winning lottery tickets were purchased with ligitimately obtained funds. Definitely NOT a good laundering location for your illegal activities.

Should illegal immigrants be able to claim lottery prizes?
Then maybe the laws should change. I can't fathom anyone condoning illegal activities. Why should it be that all the other laws have to be followed through except the lottery?

If you win the jackpot on the lotto and were to give
Yea, it may not be illegal but if they came across the average person with that kind of cash in their home they would be pretty suspicious. I'm sure their first thought would be that you have it from illegal activities and then they may investigate. If you want to keep large sums of money at your house and you withdrew it from your bank, I would hang on to the bank receipt just incase. It would really help out in explaining why you have $50,000 in cash at your house.

Should illegal immigrants be able to claim lottery prizes?
He'll give 10 percent to a guy who cashes his tickets, not because my friend is illegal, but is eluding taxes. Sounds like you don't have a problem with illegal activities if they are done by a friend.

State lottery discovered corrupt!
I checked Can't beat him join him! at first, but I know I'd really turn it over to a local news station. Of course, you've got to be careful since you don't want to turn on your set the next week and hear local reporter wins $50 million by guessing 6 numbers! As much as I know in my heart that using information from illegal activities is fraud would be unethical, immoral and illegal, it certainly would be nice to win just one small jackpot before turning in the evidence.

Winning $10K+
You are correct. Also, Lottery Post does not allow discussion on online gambling on the forums. Any such posts are deleted, and repeat offenders are suspended. Lottery Post is a place for discussion of legitimate official government-run lottery games. We cannot and will not be a place for discussion of illegal activities. That is a risk you can take yourself, but don't come here to talk about it.
