How Illinois bet on video gambling and lost
Lengthy but interesting article. If nothing else scroll down to the chart with the different states and tax rates. Except for Montana they all should have copied Nevada. https://thesouthern.com/news/local/state-and-regional/how-illinois-bet-on-video-gambling-and-lost/article_c54fc60a-a47f-50f9-be05-40f97efcc5b2.html#tracking-source=home-top-story-1

IL Hawthorne racing meet-Exactas
Okay, Mr. Rick.........I got the scoop on the 5th race at 3:15 Michigan time...I think that is 2:15 Illinois time.........Race 5 at Keenland.....TVG racing channel.Pink Champagne is the favored to win. Pat Day will be the jockey riding her.The only other really competitive horse is Franko's horse ridden by Jerry Bailey....so Pink Champagne SHOULD FINISH 1ST OR 2ND.This is a good race to guess the trifecta on as Jerry Bailey's horse (I don't know the name), and Pink Champagne should finish 1 and

ANY FAVORITE "Hole in the Wall" Casinos?
I also want to add the little casinos in Black Hawk Colorado. They were off the beaten path, but sort of a Western throw back feel. I also liked the Riverboat Casinos in Illinois. Greektown Casino is nice in Detroit and what a lovely waterfall and atrium in Casino Windsor which is in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. They had a great brunch with real bread pudding and a decadent vanilla sauce.

Kentucky Derby Count Down >>
Hello: I might drive to Illinois and place a bet, but, I haven't been paying attention. Last year, I drove to Illinois to play pick 3, and I could have bet on the Derby, but, I didn't, and I called the winner in the race. :-( I found a interesting book at the $1.00 store. Black Maestro The Epic life of an American Legend, Author Joe Drape. Jimmy Winkfield- Kentucky Derby in 1901 and 1902

IL Hawthorne racing meet-Exactas
Both Pink Champagne and Bobby Franco's horse scratched. I forgot that Pink only races on turf. With all the rain in Illinois, the turf was too soft. She is too nice a horse to take a chance with. Maybe next time.Too bad, you could have picked the exacta and probably got it right in that race. Oh well, tomorrow's another day.

ROAD TRIP- Casinoing and Kenoing across the USA
Two of my passions are Road trips and Keno...so I combined them. I drove from California to Michigan and stopped at most every commercial Casino and Tribal Casino along the way. From the gaggle in San Diego to the several in Detroit (Motor City Casino, Greektown, MGM and more) and even snuck across the bridge to Windsor, Ontario Canada for their Casino Windsor . I have also been to Blackhawk in Colorado, a few river boats in Illinois, one out of the way in Council Bluffs Iowa..you name it. I sho

Online Poker sites Domains Seized
I'm not certain the lotteries in the US could be described as 'regulated', except by auditors, legislators, etc. The fact they're owned by the governments puts them more into a self-regulation status. That probably also applies when they're 'privatized', such as in Illinois. Unless the Native Americans or state governments get into other types of online gambling it doesn't seem likely they'll come to resemble what's going on regulatory-wise with online gambling sites. Brick and mortar casinos
