Joe, even though I'm now living in Florida (I'm a transplant from New York) I can tell you it's a thing that players in New York often play the previous draws numbers all the time, and they have been doing it for years. Personally I always thought doing so was as crazy as those that played 1 2 3 4 5. What happened this past Thursday was exactly what will happen if 1 2 3 4 5 is ever drawn.
