$1.76 billion Powerball jackpot won by one ticket sold in California
That is very true. In Louisiana, we at one time got a lot of lottery business from Mississippi and Texas. They now have their own lotteries so that has for the most part dried up.

Iowa Lottery to add Double Play add-on feature to Powerball
We don't have this in Louisiana but it looks interesting. It's like getting a second ticket for half price. Does PowerPlay apply to it?

$1.25 BILLION: Mega Millions jackpot set to deliver unimaginable wealth
I have a Powerball as well. Also, Louisiana Lotto is at $1.35 million which is high for that game. I have tickets for that as well.

One ticket sold in California wins $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot
Thanks for the list. I was surprised Louisiana was in the top 10. I guess there's hope for me winning after all!

Three Calgary friends claim $50M lottery prize after 17 years playing together
I ran a pool at a former workplace as well. I collected every 2 weeks on payday and bought a mix of Powerball, Louisiana Lotto, and MegaMillions tickets. Winnings were put back in for more tickets. We never had a big win, but we had some smaller wins that gave us enough incentive to keep playing. My manager and 2 of the supervisors were in the pool I was running. One retired and kept up with it for a while, but then dropped out. Considering the way our director treated us, we would have had

Florida man arrested after buying $31,000 worth of lottery tickets using company credit card
Same here . In my state(Louisiana), it is not legal to buy lottery tickets with a credit card. Is it legal in Florida? Did he win any big prizes or was he sending in large numbers of tickets for second chance drawings? I don't feel bad for him since he stole from his employer and used a credit card which could be easily traced. He'll be locked away for a while.

$900 MILLION: Powerball jackpot rises, but sales miss in last draw makes for small increase
Same thing happened to me. Even so, I will keep trying and hoping for the best. In addition to Powerball and MegaMillions, here in Louisiana, Lotto has gotten to $1million and Easy 5 to $240,000. They don't often get hat high either so I wonder if not as many of those are selling either. I got some tickets today and may get some more tomorrow. Can't win if if you're not in it. Best of luck to all.

One ticket sold in California wins $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot
That is true. The more tickets sold in an area, the better chance of there being a winner. It's a numbers game. I live in Louisiana and some people complain about the New Orleans area having so many winners. New Orleans is our biggest city so it makes sense the most tickets would be sold there. The lottery website has a map showing where all the winners are sold and most are in the southeastern part of the state, which is the most populated part of the state. It's probably similar in

Mississippi Lottery passes $2 billion in gross sales
Since the first tickets were sold in November 2019, the Mississippi Lottery has passed $2 billion in gross sales. These four years have passed in a flurry of excitement and growth, said Mississippi Lottery Corp. President Jeff Hewitt. Reaching the $2 billion mark is an incredible accomplishment, and we are excited about continuing our growth and success into year five. MLC has returned more than $500 million to the state for roads, bridges and education. More than $377 million has gone
