The Florida Lottery is concerned about only one thing - and that's the daily take . Every day Fantasy5 ticket sales brings in about $500,000 to $600,000. That's the total take . They keep half of the take, and the other half is returned to players in prize payouts. What they hope will happen by adding a midday drawing is the total take will increase due to players buying more tickets for the new drawing. Based upon what happened in New York when The New York Lottery added a midday drawi

Happy New Years Eve! Well last night saw #16 take the lead with 61 hits ... Will #12 hit tonight? Time will tell. In addition, #16 has now hit 10 times in December. That's a huge number of hits for any number to have in one calendar month. That's happened in just three other months in 2022. (During October #35 hit 11 times) I can find only one month in FF5's history since 2002 where one number hit 12 times in one calendar month. I use 2002 as the benchmark year because in 2002, The Florida Lotte

There's something I've been thinking about and have wanted to post about but I kept forgetting about it until now. Mathematician's will tell you the lottery is completely random and that you cannot predict numbers with any certainty. I agree with them. That statement is true in the theoretical world of numbers that they live and operate in. So why do I think I can use lottery software to my advantage and maybe win a jackpot? The reason is because we're living in the real and most import

I keep posting about what happened in New York with Take5 like there is some kind of direct correlation between Take5 and FF5, but there really isnt one. Take5 is a 5/39 game with 575,757 to 1 odds to win lousy jackpots. FF5 is a 5/36 game with great odds (376,992 to 1) to win a darn good jackpot. That tells me that players in Florida know a good thing when they see it. So maybe players in Florida will very loudly tell The Florida Lottery what they really think about the implementation of a

What we are really talking about here is Player behavior. IMHO players love FF5 for it's BIG JACKPOTs and LOW ODDS! It's as simple as that. Of course nobody will become a millionaire playing FF5, but a $200,000 jackpot win is a nice chunk of change. Players vote with their dollars. When something good disappears, so do the players. FF5 is a very popular game among Florida Lottery players. This two draws a day thing could backfire big time on The Florida Lottery. I hope it does. I dont k

The word on the street around where I live is Cash Pop is a joke... I've never played it but it seems most players I've talked to are unimpressed. That does not mean you shouldn't play it. But then I saw players in New York turn their noses up at an online game that had very low odds to win a million dollars and wasn't parimutuel. They reason they didn't like the game was because the lower tier prizes stunk. Was around only for a year or so and due to low ticket sales The NY Lottery pulled i

Years ago in New York, they had a online lottery game called Sweet Million. It had low odds to win one million dollars and it was not parimutuel. That big word (parimutuel) means if there was more than one winner of a million, each winner got a million . FF5 in contrast is parimutuel - if three people win the jackpot then the jackpot is divided equally among all three winners. One day, a guy won the Sweet Million jackpot. But he had played the exact same set of six numbers on his ticket FIVE

I like to do all the kooky kinds of things that I've seen other lottery players do, but I keep it within reason. The reason I like to do 'em is because kooky kinds of things actually do happen with the lottery, and they happen more often than people think. Lottery flukes end up in the newspapers quite a bit. If I won 10 million bucks playing the same PB line five times on one ticket, wouldn't you agree that a picture of my smilin' face holding a big check would appear in every newspaper

Only just this morning did I realize something that I should have known since the day I found out that FF5 was going to two draws per day. Talk about DUMB! Of course, The Florida added the midday draw simply to increase falling FF5 revenue. If I had complained directly to them about it, I'm sure they'd have said There won't be any FF5 at all if we don't do it. My reaction to what they did has been to walk away from the game...temporarily at least. I still look at FF5 numbers in my software a

The people who run state lottery games can and do make mistakes. Here's a story about an online game that The New York Lottery once offered that was a colossal failure and was eventually pulled by the NY Lottery. The game was called Sweet Millions. It offered very low odds to win a million dollars and each and every top prize winner in all drawings collected one million dollars if they matched all six numbers. The bad thing about Sweet Millions was the lower tier prizes were awful. The game
