30 Kentucky middle school employees win $1M Powerball prize, hid lottery ticket in math textbook
* Sure it's something, but when was the last time a pool won the PB or MM? Not taking anything away from these folks, but sharing with 30 players? I will pass, as is my right!

$1.35 billion Mega Millions lottery winner suing mother of his child for revealing win to family
That's merely your personal religious belief and opinion. Luckily most of us don't live in a theocracy and can freely divorce a cheating spouse. If you can tolerate your wife loving up the pool boy, good for you. I don't think it makes you a good or bad person either way.

$1.55 BILLION: Biggest Mega Millions jackpot ever to be drawn Tuesday
I disagree, The point of playing the lottery is win a large sum of money. Joining a pool when the jackpot is very large works towards that aim. With the just the jackpot the pool gets more tickets and more chances of winning the jackpot. Now of course, there are many people in this group that believe buying more tickets does not increase the chances of winning. I hope you are not one of those.

$70 million Canada Lotto Max jackpot-winning ticket expires
Expired jackpots should be returned to the pool for the next draw! Returning it to the gov represent a clear conflict of interest. Obviously, lotteries don't put much efforts on locating the possible winners, even though there is security cams that can help ID the winner.

I totally agree with you. But on the math side, if they contribute $2 each per drawing. That's 30 tickets a drawing and 90 tickets a week. If you played $180 every week as an individual, that's $9360 every year on PB. Not sure if they also play MM. So that's where the pool comes handy. I know it's not a life changing win for them, but it's definitely something. One can clear off their car loan, or some other bills with 24K. Having said that, I don't think I would want

Powerball lottery winner Edwin Castro's $25.5 million mansion nearly crushed by landslide
Need I say it? This is why you rent everything that doesn't make you money. The yacht sinks, the plane crashes, kid wrecks the car, girlfriend runs off with the pool cleaner, house slides down the hill, good thing they were rentals ;-) BobP

I'm sure your employer is thrilled about that. How many hours a week do you spend on it at work and how distracting is it for the others to be discussing it or not putting in that week if they are out or even worse winning it and everyone quitting their jobs. Those other 59 people would be better off playing your state's lotto individually with far less numbers in it than this impossible to hit country wide game. There are now too many drawings a week for anyone to be able to keep up with runnin
