If the PRNG (pseudo-random number generator) used to print quick pick tickets is not seeded with enough bits of entropy (enough randomness), then the machines will print excess duplicate picks between different machines. I do not know how Tommy C is using quick picks to pick his own numbers. But, here is my theory. He takes all the numbers that appear in the quick pick tickets and creates a sorted list. Then he takes the 7 numbers that appear the fewest number of times and plays those numbers. Why? I bought two plays. The first one I picked the numbers and the second one a quick pick. So.... the quick pick gave me 3 of the same numbers and added 10 to the forth number. So I knew I had lost before it started. Yesterday I got 3 on FF so that covered me for a few draws.

With regards to the Quick Pick option, I was referring the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpot games of those who win those games. Regarding the Pick-3 games, I know most folks use the QP option as they don't want to go through the trouble of picking the number themselves. For those who seriously play Pick-3 or Pick-4 games, they do pick their own numbers. The majority of Pick-3 and Pick-4 lotto players play the game for fun.

No More Self Pick Play Slips Accepted
Seems the lottery is going to Quick Picks only. We tried to get some self pick lottery tickets today and everyone in line was told they are only accepting quick pick plays. Any self pick play slips were not being accepted. The store clerk had to punch in all our play slips by hand. I've seeing this kind of event happening more and more. Anyone else have issues with play slips or the store refusing to take them?
