What does everyone think about private raffles?
It all depends on if you have disposable cash to spend. Any raffle is a game of chance there's a chance you might win and a chance you might loose. I bought a raffle ticket for the house in Westminster MD they had a few months back. The guy that won the raffle for the house has the house up for sale he owes like 125 grand on the taxes. So be careful what raffle your buying into and find out about the details especially if it's a large sum raffle or property. Any taxes that might arise or out

What does everyone think about private raffles?
The raffle I found is only $20 to enter. I watched that raffle for that house. Wasn't it in Washington County? That sucks for that guy considering the market, not to mention his realtor probably has him trying to get the same price the sellers of the house could not get, hence the raffle. The details for the raffle are. Grand Prize is a house or $250,000 over 10 years or a lump sum of $175,000. Odds are 1 in 77,000. There is no cost to the winner except those costs which occur during norma

What does everyone think about private raffles?
I personally don't care for them. Much rather take that chunk of money for one raffle ticket and play a bunch of pick 3's instead.

Taxes and Casino Wins
If you have ever won a significant prize at a casino, you know you will be given a W-2 G form to report your wins. It is like a regular W-2 you get at work but the G stands for a gambling win, hence W-2 G. Since you can write off losses up to wins it is a good idea to hold on to evidence of loss. ATM receipts, or in the case of lottery or scratch offs, losing tickets. If you do not report a win, you cannot write off losses...thats why it is said losses UP TO wins. You have heard of people sel

Weekly Daily Fantasy Football Thread
I am SUPER EXCITED. They have just opened up the MILLIONAIRE MAKER game that goes off next Sunday October 5th. The entry fee is just $27. There will be 92,400 entries. The top prize is $1,000,000! Truly your best odds of winning a million dollars. Not lottery can offer that. Also if the past few weeks is a good gauge this contest will probably overlay. That means the contest might pay out more money than they take in. Payback percentage that can be over 100%. My friends that is a lottery you MUS
