1 ticket sold in Connecticut wins $254.2M Powerball lottery jackpot
Just wanted to say that there are some really poor areas of Connecticut. One of the very odd things to me is that of the poor areas ..alot of the seam to be in the rundown areas of factorys that help win WWII.........CT is a very beautifull state with its high taxes but, again it has its share of slum areas...Anyway best of luck and congrats to the winner

Mass. Lottery game very profitable for those who know how and when to play
From other stories I've read about this the math done by several math professors showed anyone who bought a $100,000 worth of CashFall tickets during the rundown would likely earn their money back plus a profit which five gambling companies were doing. The only strategy they used or needed was buying several hundreds thousands tickets randomly before the drawing.

El Gordo lottery drawing awards $2.42 billion in prizes
What does a book of these tickets cost? Where can you get a rundown of the exact payouts of this game? God forbid the US did this once a year. If they did though the payout would probably be 40% though. Unreal.

$190M Idaho lottery winner sorts out her new life
After reading the articlle I do not see where the need was for the reporter to give a rundown on her life history.
Would anyone here wish to have their life history reported if you won? I have too many bones rattling in my closet to have that happen.

Maryland Mega winner believes in magic
Uncle Jim Rundown...you are so right. Being in FL, I never thought about anonymity being a choice. Why would anyone want to have his photo all over the internet and on the news if he could just quietly walk away? Keep in mind that it's also a holiday, so I think the lottery offices are all closed. Most of the state federal buildings here are shut. Although I'd deal with it if I ever win a lot of money, being able to remain anonymous would be a real plus.

New lawsuit claims Indiana Lottery did not award all prizes
CCHS13...do you really think the Indiana Lottery was trying to cheat its' players? Wasn't it more a case of mismanagement?
The pdf noted earlier gives a very good rundown of what happened. Simply put the Indiana Lottery was not very good in overseeing this particular game. Now there should be some relief given to those players who bought tickets based upon the incorrect information given out by the lottery, but I don't see it as the lottery trying to cheat.
