$1.33 billion Powerball jackpot won by one ticket sold in Oregon
I don't believe the lottery is rigged (at least the non RNG games). But, I will say that this is the 2nd time that Powerball has had to delay results. The 1st time this occurred, there was a huge drop off in the rate of sales, and they still haven't recovered that volume from one draw to the next. This is because of those that do believe that the lottery is rigged. Powerball really isn't doing themselves any favors by having another issue with a delayed result unveiling. This really makes me que

$1.7 billion in combined jackpots, as USA multi-state lottery games peak together
Once again, they've been fortunate enough that when interest rates changed sales magically increased exactly enough for the advertised annuity to remain the same. Assuming that current cash value is realistic the annuity would have been bumped to about 991.5 if the interest rate hadn't changed. If it rolls (about an 82% chance) it goes to $1.1 billion and $525 million cash.

California winner of $1.765 billion Powerball jackpot is lauded as kind family man by neighbors
I didn't realize it had been raised again. Must be an increase in sales. I'd like to win but if it rolls a few more times, I'll hit $1billion!

$36 million Mega Millions ticket sold in Florida goes unclaimed
Partial end to this debacle is if lotteries would give their customers what most want---on-line sales. Of course this is null and void for folks like me who play in states traveling through!

$1.33 billion Powerball jackpot won by one ticket sold in Oregon
Based on sales and recalling the fact that every drawing resets the probabilities, the most likely outcome of this particular drawing was that there would be NO winner (nearly 70%). However, most likely doesn't mean guaranteed because of....probability. You don't need a QP machine conspiracy because every jackpot game has duplicates (losing + winning) due to the random nature of the lottery. You can figure this with the below formula: When you plug in # tickets sold for this drawing

The Idiot Tax
Ignore the little jack asses that live in your head, they get everything wrong, they say. Doesn't matter where the taxes come from, property, sales, income, lottery, when have you last seen your tax dollars at work? The pot hole is still there, but they added a speed bump. That's about all government is, a bump in the road. BobP Excel at PE if you want to earn a living throwing things.

$1.7 billion in combined jackpots, as USA multi-state lottery games peak together
With increased sales, it may reach $1billion by Friday night. It's time Louisiana won a jackpot on MegaMillions as we haven't won one yet. I got my tickets and good luck to everyone.

Massachusetts store clerk who tried to steal customer's $3M lottery prize sentenced to probation
You can't buy that type of ticket on-line. Massachusetts last I knew doesn't even have on line sales. Our instant tickets here in KY are totally different than scratch tickets in the store. In addition you get to wager, if you will, how much you want to spend. One was twenty cents all the way up to $20.00. Then the computer 'scratches' the ticket to see how much you won.

$1.08 billion Powerball lottery winner Yanira Alvarez filed claim for jackpot over five months ago
I am so confused by this. It takes the California lottery from October 16 2023 to March 29 2024 (165 days) to verify the winner and collect the money to give the winner their payment ? I have never heard of this before even with previous major jackpot winners in other states and California. I can understand keeping the privacy for lottery winners. But I don t like the lack of transparency from the lottery and generic answers or talking around the question. It s just like how Powerba

On Average How Many People Play PB or MM In A Drawing
Is it possible to know on average how many people play PB or MM during a draw? I'm not sure that the lotteries even have a precise answer. They obviously know if somebody buys multiple tickets with a single playslip, and multiple playslips can be played in a single transaction as reported by the terminal, but we see posters who buy tickets at different stores and even different states. About the best you could do is make a guess at the average number of tickets per player and compare that t
