Arkansas Lottery marks 5th anniversary
With over 150,000 Arkansas students awarded almost half a billion dollars in lottery-funded Academic Challenge Scholarships, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery is celebrating five full years of big wins and big opportunities as an engine for higher education and an educated, higher-earning workforce. Before that first ticket was bought at 12:01 a.m. on September 28, 2009, we could only guess at what this lottery could do for our state, Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Director Bishop Woosley said. ...

Arkansas Lottery recoups $1M in unpaid taxes, child support
In its five years of operation, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has raised nearly a half-billion dollars in scholarships to help 135,000 Arkansas students attend in-state public and private colleges and universities. But thanks to an often-forgotten provision of the Arkansas Code, the Lottery has also benefited state operations by recouping nearly $1 million in unpaid taxes and child support payments. The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Act of 2009 requires the Lottery to cooperate in identifyi ...

Georgia: 7/1 - 7/31/2014
Nice HB! I was stuck on the 7's you posted yesterday so good thing I didn't play. I would have given Debbie more money. I am all for the HOPE scholarship...but would rather not contribute any more than I will anyways!

Keno opens a new fight over Arkansas lottery
The Arkansas Lottery Commission this year approved launching keno, a bingo-style game that would have draws every six minutes, which players would track on monitors. The lottery projected it would sell $12.5 million worth of tickets for the monitor games, which would create $3.8 million in revenue for college scholarships. Had the Arkansas legislators read the LP news story about the Kentucky lottery's Keno game having more than expected ticket sales (about $500,000 more than estimated), they ...

Georgia Lottery Scratch Offs
Maximum Fortune is trash. The most I have ever gotten was $50. I played about 15 tickets in a row once and there was only a $20 winner. I am on day 2 of not playing and it feels good. The GA lottery is draining its players now to increase funds in the Hope Scholarship. It was no surprise they came out with a $30 ticket. They are going to make billions

Georgia Lottery Scratch Offs
Oh wow Maxgreen! That is hard to swallow. I told you I don't know what is going on with the GA Lottery but they are very stingy. I guess when the Hope Scholarship funds got low they had to do something!

If you won a jackpot would your kids stay in public school or private school
Clout for when the kids get into trouble, the scholarship kid is much more likely to take the heat if caught for whatever infraction when he is with the senators son. Just because you never observed anyone being mistreated based on income level certainly does not mean it never happens

Georgia Lottery Scratch Offs
I am not encouraged to play. Seems like we sll have been having the same luck. I haven't played a scratcher in over a week. I remember coming on here and seeing many $500 winners. Not much anymore. I think the GA lottery is all about building up the Hope Scholarship funds right now.
