nevada lottery
pumpi In royal-flush crazy Las Vegas $500 and $1000 payoffs for a Pick 3 and Pick 4 game are not going to create much interest at all. People can just put oney into a vido poiker machine and go for those kind of payoffs and not have to wait for a nightly drawing. A state lottery offering at least $2,000,000 as a start point would be different. There are some progressive slots that offer those kind of jackpots but they most always take multiple coins, for one thing. Back in the 1980's

Is the Millionaire Raffle ADM Hacker Proof?
jimmy4164, No too awful long ago casinos provided slots for high rollers wives to have something to do while thier husbands were at the tables. That was the thinking back then. The visionaries in the business kept saying there was a generation coming up that were video game players and guess what they're going to plau when they're old enought to gamble. One night we had an old time boxman go on break with us (the old timers had great stories) and he spotted three nckel slots that they h

Do you believe every combination has the same probability?
Cool story.. Im no computer programming expert but I don't think it would be too hard to program a slot to withhold the jackpot until the casino is ready.. Does anybody know the probability of winning a jackpot on a slot machine? Are there probabilities with slot machines? I've played certain slots for entertainment but usually stay away from them when I take trips to the casino.. I've noticed the prizes are larger when you wager more..

Systems Do Work...
Coin Toss in Vegas its the Old Geezers playing the slots that have eyes, ears, and no heart . They won't tip the waitresses a dollar for a drink but will put a hundred in a machine real quick the cheap skates haha. so tip her everytime she brings a drink CT and friends. Its the best bet in Vegas. If you don't believe me just ask Tiger Woods he will tell you its true!

Met a REAL lottery winner & they confirmed what I had always thought.
It may be true on a slot machine that if you don't win fast you may not win at all.... But this ain't slots...

Does anyone re-play their QP numbers?
The same is true at slots. Lower pay outs ALWAYS give you better odds regardless if its a 25 cent machine or dollar machine. The big difference is that going to a casino usually involves dropping $100s where to JP games can be played with $1-2 dillars and that is what it seems most people play. That's why I simulate playing 100.000 lines on MM. It takes that many lines to have a 1 in 38 chance at a $250k prize.

Recent MM and PB jackpots a fluke?
You're probably right, I just threw out a number; to make a point. I watched the Travel Channel, and on one of their shows they talked about the payouts, and they varied so much I lost track. My last trip to Vegas I put $20.00 in the machine for one multi-million dollar roll; didn't care what the odds were. Lost, walked away and never went back. Prior to that I hadn't played the slots since, around, 1968. Hadn't been to Vegas prior to this year, since Elvis was a headliner. No a big gambler; alt

When to Play the Lottery
Hi,Do you play the lottery everyday or occasionly? Do you win or lose? Did you ever consider why?I play the lottery from time to time, however, I make it a point to play when every little thing is going right. For example, I hit nothing but green lights when driving, their is a open parking space in a hard to park area, there is no line at the ATM machine, this means my timing is on and this is the time I play. This is when I win.More so, I don't play when the opposite happens, I hit all red l

Taxes
My wins were 20k on a scratch off and 20k on a slot machine. I had a 1k scratch off and and a couple of smaller jackpots on slots. I guess I am going to have to consult with a tax professional. Like I said before, I don't want to write everything off and down the road get audited and be accused of tax fraud/evasion. We aren't trying to do anything illegal. Just have gambling problems! Lol.

General question on lottery drawing procedures
I will chime in to add that the old pull lever and mechanics slot machines were also able to be messed around with. They were not random and were similar to today's computer slot machines with the difference being that gears and springs would be the cpu and code. There was a set percentage that would be paid out but it was harder to make sure the slots were not rigged unless inspected carefully, some places could add some different weights inside the springs to make a payout impossible. Thanks t
