California couple face felony charges for stealing $135 worth of Iowa Lottery tickets
Correct, however have you used an IGT machine in KY and then it won't scan? That's when the person who loads the machine does not activate the scratch tickets. Just yesterday a Trucker scanned his ticket to show me this and he was not happy.

Accidental lottery ticket purchase nets Maryland couple $2 million in Powerball
Not sure if your comment was directed to me and I don't know what some of your acronyms mean (WOF, IGT etc) I'm currently in Texas, a huge lotto state and it's shocking how out of shape these machines are and how unreliable they are. I've lost money by the machines double printing tickets either from me pressing the push buttons or using my app QR code. This happens over and over again at multiple machines and I've contacted the lottery and they are very non chalant, we appreciate your feed

Accidental lottery ticket purchase nets Maryland couple $2 million in Powerball
Yes, the message was meant for you. IGT=International Gaming Technology; WOF=Wheel of Fortune. Our machines also have a total touch screen but no replay feature per se. If you win I think under $50 it asks if you want credit or delete. One game, Cashball 225 you may win a free ticket here and there and it'll print a new ticket with different #'s. Here when you call the KY help desk it really goes to RI IGT service center and I think it got cut down to 7 states. They are very good and hav

Six gang members arrested for stealing $50,000 worth of lottery tickets in two states
What other form of lottery tickets can you steal? I suppose you could direct the machine to print out multiple quick picks.. If everything was on.. But (I assume) that would be pretty easy to catch -- ticket was sold while store was closed -- should be an easy search So.. Pretty much a meaningless crime.. Unless they manage to sell unscratched tickets to other people

Thanks for all the info! We know about checking with the app, replaying the ticket....etc...The couple places I play at the clerks do not know how to generate that bet, what they do is they keep the tix that people replay for new tickets and use those to repeat the bet....I tried to recreate the bet on the vending machine but gave up I am going to try again and with the playslip because it has a $.10 wager amount on it....But check this out here is a playslip that says $.10 only for Superfecta b

You did the correct thing! I never refuse a ticket printed in error. I'd have paid the 20 bucks too. Maybe the Advance Play box for two drawings had something in it (it was dirty) that the machine interpreted as the box being checked? I dunno...just a wild guess. I had something like that happen to me but it was with the number boxes. The clerk told me I had 6 numbers in one panel but could only choose 5. I took a look at the play slip and one number that I didn't choose had a dark spot in t

$1.08 billion Powerball lottery winner Yanira Alvarez filed claim for jackpot over five months ago
Do they expect someone to remember where and when he/she bought every ticket? Did you notice the part that said If details about the purchase don't line up, this could be cause for further investigation ? They expect people who won very large sums of money to remember some of the details, but if you don't they'll normally just look at it a bit more closely. There's a big difference between establishing that the claimant is the owner and establishing that the claimant isn't the owner, so unl

Oregon woman who doesn't check lottery tickets wins $1 million in raffle
Winner would have forgotten to check tickets if it weren't for Powerball By Kate Northrop An Oregon woman admitted that if it weren't for Powerball making headlines, she would not have thought to check an Oregon Lottery Raffle ticket that turned out to be worth $1 million. If it were not for seeing Powerball come up in the news, an Oregon woman would not have bothered to check her stack of lottery tickets, one of which held the winning numbers for a $1 million prize. Occasional player only buys tickets when the conditions are right By Kate Northrop A single father played the lottery in the right place at the right time, since his decision to hang out at the store a little longer to buy Mega Millions tickets resulted in a $1 million prize. Virginia Lottery retailers escalate boycott, halt ALL lottery ticket sales until further notice
Virginians could have a tougher time buying lottery tickets By Kate Northrop Nearly a month after hundreds of Virginia Lottery retailers participated in a temporary boycott of ticket sales to protest the ban of skill games, many of those stores are now refusing to sell tickets altogether. In protest of a recent amendment made to a bill that regulates the operation of skill games in the state, licensed Virginia Lottery retailers have taken last month's ticket sale boycott a step furth
