N.C. lottery expands vending machine use
North Carolina Education Lottery Commission officials are hoping a new deal that will allow players to purchase Powerball and other game tickets from vending machines will help extend the lottery's reach into more retail chain stores, like Walmart.

Either she was very stupid or tried to commit fraud.
I wonder why the lottery headquarters haven't thought of the idea for their lottery machines with duel purposes. Buying ticket from, AND paying out winning tickets. The convinience machines for self service are only programed to purchase tickets from, and to check the tickets. It has yet spit out money for winning tickets. If such machine exist it will eliminate a great amount of con artists.

With the G-Tech machines once the ticket is cashed two receipts come out a player copy and a retailers copy. The retailer no longer needs the original ticket. If someone attempts to cash a ticket that has already been cashed it will say ticket already cashed on the machine's screen. Some retailers shred cashed tickets immediately after cashing to insure no dumpster divers are retriving cashed scratchers and recashing.
