Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
I think the $20 Gold Rush Doubler is a better buy for this reason. The last $100k prize was recently claimed on it (at a hot spot in Orlando, which also sold the first $5M on Monopoly). There's still 1 $5M, and 4 $1M prizes unclaimed. No funny business has happened to this game...yet. The significantly better odds at hitting $500 on this game than Monopoly also makes it a better buy. How many people here have hit a $500 or over on the $20 Monopoly? I know Risky hit his $20k recently, and I know

It looks like the $25 Misfortune is down to 4 $1M unclaimed prizes, and still has 1 unclaimed $10M prize.

My Idea for a New Scratch Game
it doesn't matter if a prize is claimed or not because the unclaimed prizes go toward more prizes, or second chance drawings.

Hello killerwill13, The Florida Lottery destroys tens of thousands of both full and partial books each year. When a book is activated by the retailer and then returned for any reason such as damages, business no longer wants to sell lottery tickets or is going out of business or has a flood or fire or hurricane damage and they return a single ticket up to a full book of tickets they are all destroyed. Only full books that are not activated and still sealed can be resold once they are returne

gatorsrok: It's late but I know I had some ideas for this. I saw that media release too. Along with your #1 I'd like them to make a point of recording somewhere, such as in the PDF of the listed winners of grand prizes, that the prize was deactivated/destroyed. I'd also like them to fully explain what they do with the leftover money from games with unclaimed prizes (primarily with unclaimed grand prizes). As I've mentioned, they've told me they roll it over into new games. But I don't unde

Question for NY scratch off players in particular
When a new game comes out do you start playing it the first week? If not, how long do you wait? I read the unclaimed prize report every week and I have noticed that it usually takes 3 or 4 weeks for the first and/or second place prizes to start getting redeemed. Since it is doubtful that they would let the 1st place prize go out in first group it seems like a waste of money to buy them the first week. For example, the Mother's Day Cash $5 game came out 4/1 and none of the 12 second place tickets

How does scratch off lottery work?
It would seem to me that when scratch off tickets are made they are bar coded and the amount of prize for that ticket goes into a data base for record. When tickets are sold the ticket is activated with that bar code going into the states data base. The state could possibly know where the ticket was sold and the amount of prize before it is even cashed. Seems like I read articles where unclaimed prize tickets were known where they were sold and the amount of the prize based on the states data

$30 Scratcher
You guys have it all wrong with wanting a 30 buck scratch off to have a 10 million dollar prize. I would rather have ten 1 million dollar prizes offered at reasonable odds then one ten million dollar prize at horrible odds. You guys complain that the 30 dollar ticket you bought was a loser, but do you know how many 30 dollar losers would have to be sold to pay for that ten million dollar winner> This is where some lotteries need to change. They sell the hype of the big jackpost when they
