well, might be cause for years and years all the states around us had lotteries ( Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, etc. ) and we North Carolinian always had to load up in the car once a week or whatever and drive to these other states to play cause our stupid legislature was hell bent on not voting a lottery in. you must live in western NC and are crossing over in to Tennessee to play Hot Lotto, right ? I loved playing it. we used to go to West Virginia a couple years ago and I would always buy them when we went. I waited so long for NC to get a mid level jackpot game, and when they did with the Lucky for Life, i was so glad and started playing In February when our state joined.

I don't like the payouts for the small prizes for Powerball and Mega Millions. That's why I stick with Pick-3 and Pick-4 if I do play (which has happened only twice this year). In Virginia and Georgia it's 50-50.

Hmm, so how many is that now for California this year? How about NJ? Seems like all the winners this year have either been from NY, CA, NJ, Virginia or Ohio.... I think there might have been a GA winner too but CA and NY have been dominating this year.
