This week was a busy one for the fledgling Arkansas Lottery.
The first shipment of Arkansas Lottery tickets is being transported, and will arrive in the state Monday, Lottery Director Ernie Passailaigue said Friday, and the lottery revealed its new logo.

Arkansas Lottery begins licensing retailers for ticket sales
A Murphy USA retail outlet in Magnolia on Wednesday received the first license issued in the state to sell tickets for Arkansas' scholarship lottery when scratch-off games begin next month.

$500K lottery prize divides two elderly sisters
A passion for gambling shared by two once-inseparable octogenarian sisters has ended up dividing them, with the Connecticut Supreme Court ruling that one can sue the other for a share of a winning $500,000 lottery ticket.

Arkansas Lottery picks Scientific Games for instant tickets
A Georgia lottery equipment company will supply scratch-off tickets to Arkansas' fledging lottery, an oversight panel decided Wednesday.

A year ago, Ohio Lottery Director Michael A. Dolan persuaded skeptical lawmakers to buy $11.6 million worth of equipment to launch the state's new Keno game on a promise that the setup would still work after a year a premise that Dolan later admitted was false.

GTECH chosen as preferred bidder for N.Y. Lottery
Italian gaming company Lottomatica SpA said Sunday its wholly-owned subsidiary, GTECH Corporation, has been chosen as the preferred bidder to negotiate a seven-year contract with the New York Lottery to provide new online lottery solutions and services.
