If you read Lotto News or Lotto Stats (hopefully you read BOTH) then you're probably aware of "The Great Take5 Mystery"
If you don't read them (you should be) then you probably don't know that we are among greatness. Yes, I'm speaking of someone who posts here regularly, someone that has "been around a long time and doesn't shoot from the lip." (That's a quote straight out of Lotto Stats)
The Great Take5 Mystery is centered upon the fact that there have been 44 sets of duplicate Take5 winning numbers drawn since January 17, 1992 when it all began. In a column in Lotto Stats, Mr. Roy Siano incorrectly stated that the most recent set of quints was one of only a few times that had happened. Someone who posts here regularly shot Mr. Siano an email and corrected him!
Upon hearing and reading of this news, I shot Mr. Siano an email that stated not only has it happened in NY with Take5 44 times, but it also has happened 50 times in California with their Fantasy5 5/39. I also pointed out that the same type of thing has happened in Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, Illinois, Arizona and a whole bunch of other states with 5/39 games.
Needless to say Mr Siano was flabbergasted!! At any rate, the good folks at Lotto News/Stats are "looking into it" and intend to publish what they learn about this "mystery" in future issues. And it's all because of THE MINK-MAN!! You read that right, our very own Mink404ski is the person that sparked "The Great Take5 Mystery" that is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Lotto News. And I'd also point out that none other than Gail Howard has taken note of the mystery as her column in Lotto News discusses it as well.
All hail The Mink-Man!! A true Lotto genius. What a stud! G5
