The NY Lotto game has the WORST prize return (40%) of any US lottery game, which explains why (even at two games for $1) matching three numbers wins only your dollar back, and that four numbers occasionally pays less than $20.

Virtually every US lottery game returns at least 50% to players.

Cash,

Drop this nonsense already!  It's their game, NOT yours.  If the players feel the prize return is too LOW, they wouldn't play it.

Now, the NY Lotto has been around for a very long time - 25 years.  Obviously, they are doing something wrong.

People love the game so they're playing it.  They wouldn't play it if they felt differently.

I suggest you move out of the NY state and go live in another great state like Massacusettes.

Two winning tickets last night, so the $55M jackpot will be spilted.

Mega Millions needs a $200 million jackpot soon...so that nobody would want to play NY Lotto.

It would nice to see a $100M megamillion jackpot, their jackpot aren't getting any higher than many state jackpots.  In Ohio a third of the time the State lottery has a bigger jackpot and Megamillion has not had the jackpot sizes that the lottery commission had hoped that would attract more players.

Seven years ago (in the 6/54 game) two rollovers meant a jackpot of either $15m or $17m. Now, the second rollover brings the pot to only $7 million.
