Well the third time is not the charm. My pick four number is 4398. Today midday 4498 comes in. On Feb 16th. 4399 comes in. One Feb. 2nd 4392 comes in. Had three bucks straight on it all three times. Maybe the fourth time will be the charm. Will see?

Here's the facts. Out of 52 drawings, 33 times the winning combination contained all different digits, the rest were repeaters, there were no trips. Using combined draws midday and eve, there were 27 times that one digit or more repeated from the previous draw. The zero has not shown up in the third position in 38 draws. The hot front pair was 11 and 70 both drawn a total of four times for the year, second hottest 31 and 96 both drawn three times for the year. Cold front Pair that have yet to hit are listed in my previous blog entry. Please forgive me if these are not 100% accurate. Here are a couple of idea's for the everyday lottery player to play pick three and four and possibility win in the short-term long run. I'm using short-term long run because if you do this and win you wll be up but in the long run if you keep playing you'll most likely put it all back. So my idea is play big. But not over your head, play only what you can afford to lose. To play big you must narrow down the number of combinations you play and wager more money. This way if you do get lucky and hit, you hit Big. You will be able to play longer with the houses money before you end up giving it all back. An if you get super lucky and get on a streak and do this multiple times and you can play for a real long time before you give it all back. Give it all back you say, yes. Because unless you stop playing you will most likely give it all back.  My other way to play is called lottery maintenance. This is wagering only one dollar on pick three and pick four per drawing. This way your in the game and you might win a few bucks but it you don't you won't be out too much cash and while playing your expecations don't get to high. The last to months I've been the worse kind of lottery player, though the lottery loves guys like me. I been throwing lots of money everyday at multiple combinations never putting too much on one combination because they all look good. Do I win, yes. But for how long? I won (or should i say borrowed from the lottery) 16k in 2001. Wanna know where it is? Yup you guessed it. The lottery called my loan and they took it all back. Sure I played for a long time but now it's money out of my pocket again. Just imagine if I didn't win that 16k where I'd be now? I'm not saying to stop gambling. I'm saying think about what your trying to accomplish when gambling. The lottery is rough, it's an everyday thing for most people. I don't want anyone to get in over their head. Play smart and play alert. If you don't have a clue as to how much you spending on the lottery, you should keep track of all your wagers for a month, it's a real eye opener. Maybe you can vary from playing big and lottery maintenance from month to month. This might be the best of both worlds for everyday players. I suggest not to do this weekly because it gets very frustrating if your number hits right after you switch to lottery maintenance but a month seems to be a good divider of time. As week start a new week I'm in off the ledge for now. I have to remember that the lottery game is set up to beat you. The math is there. The lottery has and will always have the edge. But you can get lucky. I have my 4 pick four combinations in place for the week and I'm going to ride them out for the month. As for pick three, I'm still looking for that big hit. When a only play a few combinations it seems I end up with a near miss all the time. Might have to try wheeling a few combinations, but I never feel so strong about a number till after the fact. I have some good pick four combinations listed for the week and know they will fall somewhere. Well play smart this week and remember your just one big hit away. Take care and good luck.

I keep shooting myslef in the foot. I post some IL. front pairs in my blog, before I post um one hits and I didn't play it so I pull it off my list. Now tonight I decide I'm only going to play 5 out of the 10 front pair I have listed and sure enough the 31x comes in and I didn't play it. Also two of my long time pick four number came in last week in box order (7459 & 4398) and I didn't have them. So many distractions I can't think clearly, or is that just an excuse.  I'm sick, just plain sick.

Won $350.00 playing roulette at my local casino last night. So I have lottery money for the rest of the month. LOL. I am limiting my casino trips to once or twice a month. Every month when I go to the casino for the first time, if I win I leave myself the option to return again in the same month but if I lose I wait to go again till the next month. A few years back I went to the casino 50 times in one year. I didn't lose a lot of money or anything like that but I did risk a lot and ended up down at the end of that year even though I had some nice wins. So I'm going with everything in moderation theory and hopefully end up ahead for the year. I just wish I could limit my lottery play the same way. Bye for now.

I saw my shadow. Another six weeks of losing. Let's start today here in IL. I played 4398 three dollars straight and 4392 came in. Almost 15 G's. All bad gambling stories start with I almost. I am trying somthing new it's called total negative thinking. I will degrade myself and be self loath untill I hit somthing big. I suck. I hate the lottery.

In Pick Three I had one straight and three box box wins and I still ended up down for the month of January. Pick Four is calling my name. I am playing ten bucks per draw at 13 draws a week. That's like a million dollars I'm spending. LOL. If you look at my previous blog entry and see how close I've come to winning, it's ridiculous. An say I do hit that grand, so what. Playing almost five hundo a month, where is that going to take me. Ten dollars straight? five G's, is that the way to go? Nice, hit that once for the year if I'm lucky and I'll only be $1,000 dollars in the hole for the year. Skip a drawing and double up? are you kidding, there's no way I'm missing a drawing. Win on a consistent basis playing only my home state. Yeah right, ain't gonna happen. What's left? I know maybe just play a dollar every draw so I'm in the game. Yuck! Hey I know, I just won't keep track anymore and throw hundreds of dollars out the window every month and when I hit for $80.00 bucks I'll pretend I'm up. Damn gambling is evil. What to do for Feb? $11,000 worth of . Nice way to start the year. I did cash in on one straight for $290.00 and a few box wins but not that big hit I was looking for in order to bankroll me for a few months. It's o.k. I got idea's for February.
