Walk With The Knowledge

Walk With The Knowledge That You Are Never Alone

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone. -Audrey Hepburn
To really be beautiful, all that you have to be is the truest form of yourself at all times. When someone is really able to live life as their true self-things like negativity and haters cannot disrupt their flow.
People who see life in the most beautiful of ways always see the good in each situation and in each person that they encounter.
People who see life in the most beautiful of ways speak words of life into themselves and everyone that they come into contact with, never leaving a bad impression, and never knowing a stranger.
Those who are truly beautiful walk strong with courage and humble confidence knowing that God is with them, and that they are never alone.
Be who you are not who others want you to be, not what your negative thoughts tell you to be, be that great person that you have on the inside of you. You will be loved!

It Is Not Length

It Is Not Length Of Life, But Depth Of Life

Posted:

It is not length of life, but depth of life. Everybody dies, but not everybody lives.
Though it would be great to live a long life, it should be more important to you to live a life that is filled with more depth, with more purpose, and with more achieving goals, than to just outlast everyone around you.
Your life is about your legacy and what you will eventually leave behind to the rest of the world. What kind of story will your life tell by the time that it is over? What kinds of people will you affect by refusing to give up, and by dreaming as big as possible in each day.
Never live your life attempting to just make it as long of a life as possible. Be sure to make steps each day towards your goals and aspirations. Be sure to live in each moment as much as possible. Engage with people on a daily basis and let them see who you really are deep on the inside. Don't hold back just to hold on, live everyday proactively.

All Life Demands

All Life Demands Struggle

All life demands struggle. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of life. The very striving and hard work that we so constantly try to avoid is the major building block in the person we are today. -Pope Paul VI
In order to make it anywhere in this world, you have to be willing to fight against the machine. You have to be willing to stand up and go to work when you only had an hour or two of good sleep. You must be willing to go to school with your gas tank on E.
Struggle is simply something that stands in the way of everyone in order to allow themselves to become better at what they do, and in order to become more in tune with whom they are now, and who they are to become. Not everyone is able to recognize how important it is to have struggle in their lives so that they may have something to help gauge their progress by.
Never deny yourself a chance to grow. Embrace struggle, overcome hardship so that you may one day be on top of your dreams!

There Is Always

There Is Always Someone Out There To Love Us

The Love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginnings, but you cannot imagine its width and depth. God loves you immensely in a way you can never imagine.
One reality that we must all come to accept in life, even in times that we feel completely alone is that there is always someone out there to love us. We will always have the unconditional love of God whether we accept it or not, and there is usually always going to be love in our lives from our peers and families as well, as long as we are willing to accept that just because some may love us in a certain way, maybe a way that leaves us desiring more, but still love us in their own way.Going through life, thinking about things in this manner, as in doubting if everyone loves you in the same ways that you love them, doesn't do anything but bring negative and destructive forces to your life. When you find yourself wondering about if people really love and care for you like they may imply that they do, remember to just be grateful to have people in your life that even consider loving you, because not everybody does.

If You Can't

If You Can't Believe In Miracles, Then Believe In Yourself

If you can't believe in miracles, then believe in yourself. When you want something bad enough, let that drive push you to make it happen. Sometimes you'll run into brick walls that are put there to test you. Find a way around them and stay focused on your dream.
Where there's a will, there's a way. -Isabel Lopez

Though sometimes in our lives we are forced to take time away from our dreams, these stops should never be more than temporary. When we are forced to stop because of unforeseen circumstances that arise in our lives it is best that in our time of immobilization we figure out the best route to our dreams.
We have to know that there will arise times in our lives that we are forced to make plans in the midst of the unexpected, and that doing so is what shows how great we are in our hearts. Almost anyone can accomplish anything that they are willing to give their all too, even when we are forced to pause our pursuit of a dream it is no matter, as long as we are willing to press play again, and never stop pursuing a strong finish in everything that we do, and everything that means something to us.

Regrets

Life Is Too Short To Wake Up With Regrets

Posted:

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe things happen for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
There are only a certain amount of days we will live on this earth, and no tomorrow is ever promised to anyone currently living. Since we know that ultimately we will only be on this earth for a certain unknown amount of time, it is our duty to leave as big of a mark on this huge world that we possibly can.
Life is too short not to dream as we want to dream, and not to pursue these dreams as we would like to pursue them. Life is too short not to wake up each day and be happy about whom we are on the inside and outside. Life is too short to be filled with the regret of not choosing the choices that we know are inside of our hearts to make, and too short not to take the risks and opportunities that we know are in our hearts to take. In the end we all know we only breathe for so long, so make your life yours.

It Doesn't Matter

It Doesn't Matter If The Glass Is Half Empty Or Half Full

It doesn't matter if the glass is half empty or half full. Be thankful that you have a glass - and grateful that there's something in it.
Many people concern them selves with the judgments of others and think less of their lives than they actually should, because they are lead to believe that their lives aren't important as another's because they may have less in material wealth than others. One important thing that people of today must all realize is that somewhere is better than anywhere.
As long as you are willing to take the risks that you need to take, and work as hard as you know that you should work in order to make it to the places that your heart wants to take you, you should have no worries. Instead of taking the time and energy that is devoted to thinking and acting negatively, one should diligently take steps towards reaching the heights that they foresee in their destiny. Never let the positions of your past and present determine the positions that you want to achieve in your future, stay faithful, and keep the fight going!

Do You Believe

Believing In Miracles

Posted:

One of the main reasons that we lose our enthusiasm in life is because we become ungrateful. We let what was once a miracle become common to us. We get so accustomed to his goodness it becomes a routine. -Joel Osteen

Remember that what you believe is what will eventually come to life in your own life. As Buddha says; if we look up in the sky, there is no distinction of East and West; people create distinctions out of their own minds and believe them to be true. What you choose to believe is your choice and yours only.
There are some things that some people will never believe in, like miracles, and chances are these people will never experience a miracle in their own lives. What you choose to believe may add great blessings to your life, while choosing not to believe in anything will probably give you a lack of what you need physically, emotionally and spiritually. Plain and simple, believing in things like miracles never hurts anything, while believing in nothing may hurt you more than you will ever know. Believe not only what you see, but believe the things you can't see as well, life is way too grand not to.

I Have Nothing to prove...

Nothing to prove...

Sunday 9/8/2013

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." -Romans 12:2

We live in a time in which so many of us feel bound to the expectations and the demands of others. We carry with us a heavy yoke of having to prove ourselves, even prove ourselves to people that don't like us, or even to those who hate us.

We care so much about what people say about us, think about us. We are consumed with giving off the right image so that we will be respected, admired, seen as attractive, or wanted. Jesus simply frees us, if we allow him to, from this very, very heavy burden that leads to the greatest regret of every single dying person, to wish they had had the courage to have lived their lives the way they had wanted to and not the way that others had expected them to.

Let's not wish, in our twilight years, that we hadn't lived our lives trying to prove ourselves to others. Let's live in the easy yoke of Jesus, being true to ourselves, to the person that God designed us to be.

Prayer: Dear Lord, what a burden is lifted when I think about not having to prove myself to others. I take up your yoke and look forward to becoming, day by day, the person you designed me to be. Amen.

Reflection: In what ways are you living according to others' opinions and not for your true self?

You Are Not Alone

You can't find true happiness if you live your life trying to please other people.
Sometimes it takes getting away from it all to really see the world for what it is. As time passes, and as we spend more time with people we start to realize that our thoughts can sometimes turn into a jumbled mess, of their convictions mixed with our own.

To really see life through our own lenses we have to be able to believe in what is in our own hearts, and from this, build our life in the manner that we desire for it to be.

It doesn't work to set your life up by trying to do what everyone else wants you to do. Life can't be lived until we are able to really see how we can live it through our own eyes.

Being alone isn't always a bad thing, because being alone can teach you a multitude of things about who you are at the core, and who is really in your life to benefit YOU.

When You Feel Discouraged

When You Feel Discouraged

It’s natural to experience discouragement when someone lets you down. But unfortunately, this emotion can be a breeding ground for bitterness and resentment. If we blame God for what happened, our devotion to Him may suffer. We might forsake spending time alone with Him or give up on the dreams He gave us. Eventually, we could give up on Him altogether. Disappointment has the potential to poison our entire lives. Unless you and I respond to it wisely, we can become overwhelmed by hopelessness, cynicism, and depression.

David experienced discouragement. Samuel had anointed him king of Israel, but for years the former shepherd had to live in the wilderness, running from Saul. Through that difficult time, he looked to the Lord for encouragement. Psalm 23 gives us insight into how David coped with unexpected setbacks.

First, David turned to God with his discouragement. “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” (v. 1).He didn’t ask, What amIgoing to do? He knew Who the source of his strength was. God would both show him how to deal with the situation and reveal any feelings of disappointment.

David went on to write, “He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters” (v. 2). When our hearts are in tune with the Lord, we will have peace. Even though we may be in the middle of a trial, we will be able to walk through difficulty without becoming overwhelmed by fear.

You may not know why God has allowed disappointment, frustration, or deep sorrow in your life. Regardless, what matters most is the focus of your faith. Is it set on God or your ability? The Lord has good plans for your life, but they will likely include more than just mountaintop experiences; you must be willing to walk with Him through the valleys as well.

Second, David admitted there was a problem. He did not try to deny or ignore it. We have to wonder how many times Satan whispered, “You are never going to be king” or “You will die in battle before you take the throne.” The Enemy’s tactic is to draw us away from God by planting seeds of doubt. However, David resisted. He had a personal, loving relationship with the Creator of the universe and knew that the Lord would fulfill His promise at the right time. Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please [God], for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”

Third, David understood that the Lord had allowed his trials, and there was purpose in his suffering. Instead of sinking into despair, David immediately turned to God, admitted there was a problem, and acknowledged his inability to face it alone. He refused to let the Enemy’s attack overwhelm him. And He realized the Lord wanted to teach him a lesson. The same is true for you. When trouble comes, you can know without a doubt that God plans to use it for good (Rom. 8:28-29).

Fourth, David kept his focus on the Lord. There will be times when you receive conflicting information. For instance, a friend’s advice may clash with what your mind tells you. In cases like this, ask God to make His will perfectly clear.

Open your Bible, get on your knees, and cry out, “Lord, speak to my heart. Help me hear Your voice so I will have clear guidance through this stressful time.” Sometimes the Lord will lift the discouragement immediately and completely because you have turned to Him in faith. When that happens, thank Him for the truth of Jeremiah 33:3: “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

David often recalled the times God had delivered him in the past. The cornerstone of his confidence was the Lord’s faithfulness. Time after time, he had witnessed God’s goodness at work in his life. Therefore, he could say, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows” (Ps. 23:5).

Finally, David confessed with his mouth that God would fulfill His promise. “Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever” (Ps. 23:6). When it came to devotion, there was no question that David was committed to God.

You can overcome discouragement by proclaiming biblical truth. Turn to God’s Word and study about His faithfulness, attributes, and promises to the church. Dig deep and you will gain an awesome perspective of His nature—who He is and the depth of His intimate love for you. The Father listens when you pray to Him, and He will come to your aid, just as He did for David.

I Will Remain Strong Through It All

God give me strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

One of the most beautiful things that we have in this life is the power to make decisions. We choose what we go through or the lack thereof, and from many of these experiences we are able to develop a sense of discernment and wisdom that should help carry us to great heights.

Of course, this is all theoretical, because the end result of the amount of wisdom a person gets from any experience is really up to that individual.

Though life is merely a series of lessons that we should learn from so that we may best be able to understand it, not everyone will learn from every experience, only those who are seeking wisdom will see how important each experience that they go through is.

Always remember that even the smallest of experiences can change and affect your life for years to come, make good decisions that represent who you are, and where you want to be.

Airline worker, wife accused of stealing luggage

Airline worker, wife accused of stealing luggage diverted after Asiana crash

An aircraft lands behind the wreckage of the Asiana Airlines plane at San Francisco International Airport in San Francisco

An aircraft lands behind the wreckage of the Asiana Airlines plane at San Francisco International Airport …

By Ronnie Cohen

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A United Airlines customer services representative and his wife have been arrested in the theft of unclaimed luggage from a flight that had been diverted after the July 6 fatal crash of an Asiana Airlines plane, a county prosecutor said on Monday.

Sean Sharif Crudup, 44, was charged with grand theft and burglary, said Karen Guidotti, chief deputy district attorney for San Mateo County. His wife, Raychas Elizabeth Thomas, 32, will be arraigned in August, Guidotti said.

Guidotti said video surveillance showed Crudup taking the bags and handing them to his wife. She said Thomas later unpacked the luggage and returned much of the clothing to a Nordstrom department store, pocketing about $5,000 cash.

Nordstrom spokesman Colin Johnson declined to comment on the incident, but he confirmed that the chain allows stores to make return decisions on a case-by-case basis.

The luggage belonged to a couple whose flight had been scheduled to arrive at San Francisco International Airport on the day of the Asiana Airlines crash. Their flight was diverted to another airport, but their suitcases were sent on to San Francisco.

The couple discovered their luggage was missing when they went to San Francisco to retrieve it, Guidotti said.

Crudup and his wife were arrested on Thursday, authorities said. He was charged on Friday and released on $75,000 bail. Thomas was out of custody on $50,000 bail and will be arraigned in August.

United spokesman Christen David said the airline was assisting investigators in the case. "We hold our employees to the highest standard and have zero tolerance for any theft," he said.

Three Chinese teenagers died and dozens of passengers were injured when the Asiana Boeing 777 hit a seawall in front of the runway, lost its tail and caught fire after skidding to a halt.
