A winning Mega Million Lottery Ticket worth $175,000 is set to expire at 5:00pm Thursday unless the lucky owner comes forward to claim his or her prize.

Official say the ticket was sold January 14th in Virginia Beach, at the Citgo located at 841 South Military Highway. The station is at the intersection of Military and Indian River Road.

The winning ticket matched all the numbers except the Mega Ball number. The numbers for that drawing were 15, 19, 24, 40 and 47, with a Mega Ball number of 50. The jackpot for that week's drawing was $111 million.

Lottery players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to turn in and claim a winning ticket.

How could anyone let a ticket expire?  That's unhuman lol.  (I guess they threw it away and didn't even know it)

How are you going to win if you don't play?

Hopefully it wasn't someone in the military who has shipped out overseas.
