Games People Play
Just wondering what lottery games everyone plays. Generally I will play any game which is not computerized and the drawing is broadcast live. For the national games, I play Powerball only in Delaware because I live there and Mega Millions in either NJ or MD depending on where I wind up (I will occasionally play MM in NY if I am visiting family for longer periods of time). Here's my state-by-state listing: DE - Only Powerball (all others computerized) PA - All but Middays (computerized)

Joe, even though I'm now living in Florida (I'm a transplant from New York) I can tell you it's a thing that players in New York often play the previous draws numbers all the time, and they have been doing it for years. Personally I always thought doing so was as crazy as those that played 1 2 3 4 5. What happened this past Thursday was exactly what will happen if 1 2 3 4 5 is ever drawn. We don't really know I suppose. My state used to have live drawings on broadcast t.v. But they moved to online showings. The website claims, Watch live drawings every night of the week!!! However I find that more than just a few nights a weeks, nothing.

Not sure the significance of numbers being broadcast at 10:00 vs. 10:01. The numbers that were drawn at 10:00 would still shown up when you see the video at 10:01, or 11:59 for that matter. An event is an event, the time that it occurs does not matter because the event has happened and is irreversible. Not sure if their contention is for the reason you state in your quote above. edessaknight, Back when it was West coast A.M. and Bell hosted it the broadcast was done at KDWN on the mezzanine of the (then) Union Plaza. A few times when I got an early out and he wasn't on the air yet I got to go up and talk to him. He said he loved his job but the clock was still an adversary, but not in the sense of watching the clock but he still had so many things left to talk about but time ran out.
