getting back to an old topic RNG controlled
All Random Number Generators (RNG) are not the same. I think the people who have the greatest insight like the hired lottery scientist, the lottery owners, and the state officials that regulate the lotteries, know the factors that lead to states going from using Mechanical Random Number Generators (MRNG) to Computer Random Number Generators (CRNG). I'm sure someone figured out that when comparing the number of tickets bought per state compared to the number of tickets won per state, there

Games People Play
Just wondering what lottery games everyone plays. Generally I will play any game which is not computerized and the drawing is broadcast live. For the national games, I play Powerball only in Delaware because I live there and Mega Millions in either NJ or MD depending on where I wind up (I will occasionally play MM in NY if I am visiting family for longer periods of time). Here's my state-by-state listing: DE - Only Powerball (all others computerized) PA - All but Middays (computerized)

Are Lotteries Rigged
Of course they would lose more if they got caught. But show me one criminal, just one, who thought to himself while committing his crime, Gee, I'm sure I'll be caught doing this; wonder how long I'll be in jail? I Guess I'll have to wait and see. No one thinks they'll be caught committing a crime. That's why they do it; they believe they're more clever than the general population and, if the general population thinks the way you do, then I would have to say they are probably correct.Your argum

Who is Sam Bankman-Fried and Why Are The Fed's After Him?
Great question. Very possible that some jackpot winner somewhere invested in FTX. The list of celebrities that invested has now grown to include Shaquille O'Neal. Not surprised by that. I've seen Shaq being interviewed by CNBC Anchors sitting at their set where they broadcast live from the floor of The New York Stock Exchange. He's well known to be a savvy investor with his money. How many Major League Baseball players might have invested? MLB umpires wore black shirts all last season

exact same numbers in take five drawing midday and evening What are those odds? it happened yesterd
Joe, even though I'm now living in Florida (I'm a transplant from New York) I can tell you it's a thing that players in New York often play the previous draws numbers all the time, and they have been doing it for years. Personally I always thought doing so was as crazy as those that played 1 2 3 4 5. What happened this past Thursday was exactly what will happen if 1 2 3 4 5 is ever drawn. I cant imagine winning a jackpot (which is so very hard to do) and likely will not ever happen again for the

How do we know that the drawings are happening live?
We don't really know I suppose. My state used to have live drawings on broadcast t.v. But they moved to online showings. The website claims, Watch live drawings every night of the week!!! However I find that more than just a few nights a weeks, nothing.

How do we know that the drawings are happening live?
Not sure the significance of numbers being broadcast at 10:00 vs. 10:01. The numbers that were drawn at 10:00 would still shown up when you see the video at 10:01, or 11:59 for that matter. An event is an event, the time that it occurs does not matter because the event has happened and is irreversible. Not sure if their contention is for the reason you state in your quote above. The concern is whether what they show the public is only the outcome they could have easily manipulated two ho

Some day in the future here at LP...
edessaknight, Back when it was West coast A.M. and Bell hosted it the broadcast was done at KDWN on the mezzanine of the (then) Union Plaza. A few times when I got an early out and he wasn't on the air yet I got to go up and talk to him. He said he loved his job but the clock was still an adversary, but not in the sense of watching the clock but he still had so many things left to talk about but time ran out.

According to my retailer there is a new national lottery game coming
Couple more tidbits of info that came from MDI (part of the company that developed this game). The jackpot will actually roll in $3 million increments, so it will be capped by the fourth draw. This is an improvement of 1 draw versus the previously quoted $5 million increments. The number of guaranteed $1 million Club prizes will increase by a minimum of 2 per draw. On a typical cycle where the cap is hit they expect well over 50 millionaires to be created; in longer rolls like 19-20 draws th

What was your take on the show "Lucky 7"
ABC Cancels Lucky 7 After Only 2 Episodes: The ABC series Lucky 7 has been officially canceled and is the first casualty of the 2013-14 broadcast season. The new series had kicked off last week and had a very underwhelming number in the ratings, which dropped even lower for the second episode.
