How many people just buy one ticket for MM and PB?
Since Powerball raised their price to $2 I won't even buy those tickets, even if it's one. Let them rip off someone else. The only way I would buy a PB ticket now if the jackpot is over $300 million. As for Mega Milliions, if the jackpot is low it makes more sense to buy the multiplier with it. If the jackpot is over $100 million, I won't buy the multiplier. But to answer your question, I normally only buy 1 ticket...

Weak Powerball Sales?
Almost correct.....with the old Powerball with extra dollar for Powerplay with the multiplier you could win 20k, 30k, 40k, or 50k. 10k was not in the multiplier, the multipliers were the numbers 2-5, not 1-5.

Paid only half for win on Mega Millions ticket
Drawing July 5th-2011--WINNING NUMBERS 1-10-13-18-46-=19....I matched the red ball 19 and one white ball 46,I paid 2 dollars for the multiplier and was paid only $3.00 for a $6 .00 win..I knew this was not right. The clerk clearly showed me that it would only pay me $3 dollars after the scan and I explained that I paid for the multiplier which was 2X for that draw.I called the main lottery office in Raleigh and the man on the phone told me there is no way the computer system would do that.I told

mega millions vs. powerball
i like mega millions but it not having the multiplier like powerball probably works against for those who like to powerplay the numbers.

If a nationwide game comes along....
The odds would have to be over 300 million to 1 to take in the amount of players that could possibly play for the jackpot. Plus they would be shooting themselves in the foot if they raised the price of a single play to $2 unless they included a multiplier with that $2. Who is going to buy those $2 tickets with over 300 million to 1 odds. $1 per play is the way they can get people to spend more money and give them an option of having something like a multiplier or powerplay added to the ticket

need help please
I have no idea of what an Oklahoma ticket looks like. However, if it says Powerplay YES, you probably paid two dollars for each row of numbers. One dollar for the overall game and one dollar for the Powerplay option. The Powerplay is a multiplier option to your winnings ('cept the top prize). The multiplier is determined by a seperately drawn ball. Last night it was 4, so any winning combinatioin is multipied by 4. All losing numbers remain at zero. Check the following link on usamega for
